So they covertly contact the Administration and say “look we are going to launch some missles your direction but we will miss and there will be minor damage and no one will get hurt”. Iran's statement sounds like they've shot their wad. They said they launched "tens" of rockets when it appears they only fired 12 to 15.

If, after the assessment, there turns out to be no significant damage or no loss of life, he'll probably be very magnanimous.

He'll be very diplomatic. Iran had its little fun. He'll reserve the right to retaliate if Iran decides to attack again, though.

Right now, though, it sounds like no harm, no foul.

We'll see.
