It could happen, but I hope it doesn’t come to that.

“Could there be a scenario where state troopers attempt to enforce a gun control law”

do virginia state troopers even how law-enforcement duties in virginia?

in colorado, state trooper have only two duties:

1. highway patrol

2. governor’s personal body guard

colorado doesn’t actually have a state police force with general law enforcement duties ...

You could even see secession movements spring up in Virginia counties bordering other states. The Feds wouldn’t recognize it... probably. But who knows. If shooting starts all bets are off.

Why are there not rows of gallows being built?

I did not finish reading the whole story.

Sure there may not be a prosecution and conviction for use of an AR15 in self-defense. But will local law enforcement restore the property to its owner if state law says it is to be seized and destroyed? And what about other weapons owned at the same address?

The Democrats have nothing and have been trying to start a revolution for years. Notice they didn’t start this in Michigan. They have the corruption embedded in VA now.

“Are there “illegal alien” sanctuaries in Virginia? If so, this “law” is moot”

To the best of my knowledge there are no sanctuary cities per se.
Reason is Virginia is a Dillon Rule state and not a Home Rule state.
Dillon Rule..
http://virginiaplaces.org/government/dillon.html

Though the northern counties pay lip service to state law they refuse to cooperate with ICE and have even set up community centers for illegals.

Yeah the blue areas of Virginia, mostly around DC and the naval stations have been de facto sanctuary areas for some time. They just can’t announce it because of the Dillon Rule laws.

Fairfax has been the most egregious in every way.
The first county to pander to illegals, first to allow “transgenders” in schools to use the bathroom of their choice and the list goes on.
Fairfax is also usually the last area to report election returns so they can cook the books. They’ve even bragged about it.

Fortunately the rural counties are conservative and governor Mengele will have a hard time with his gun laws here. I’m sure confiscation teams will be properly received by the populace.

Black face Ralph will certainly run in to a challenge from Gun supporters in the courts.
Good luck there Ralphie ya punk.
Hey Virginia stoopids, wake up to this. You want to rely on cops to defend your sorry asses?
What is cops reply time in your area when a home invasion or assault takes place?
Here, about ten seconds. A man, woman or child will reply.

Wishful thinking.

Northampton and the Democrats in Virginia are going to get everything they want.

Thanks to illegal and semi-legal immigration, vote fraud, and apathetic establishment Republicans the democrats will rule Virginia for generations to come.

After gun laws will come fourth trimester abortion, illegal alien sanctuary, free health care and college, unlimited taxes, crackdown on religious schools and education, 16 year old voting,

The real problem for the left here is complicated. The Reconstruction-era constitutional amendments make several federal rights apply against the states. First amendment, fifth, etc, etc. Any one of the federal cases against these state laws could be “the one” that gets the 2nd amendment this “incorporated.” States would be only as able to regulate gun ownership as they are currently able to regulate art, religion, or whether presidential candidates have to reveal their tax returns to appear on their ballots.

It’s going to be an exciting time...
