Very true.
She might have been roofied.
*** She might have been roofied. ***
From her last text, it sounds like she was drugged.
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Hueytown.”
Reminds me of Natalie Holloway. Why do these girls leave and go off with strange men.
I feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for her family.
According to Birmingham police, Houston left the bar about 10:45 p.m. with two heavy-set black males. Sgt. Johnny Williams said it was reported that Houston left the location willingly with the two men.
Sounds more to me like she was drugged and didnt know where she was

Didn’t sound like that one was gonna end well.
My daughter had a friend named Peyton in Trussville before she moved to Florida last year.
Yeah - then so did Sharon Tate...should have had better security.
Possible, but she texted a friend that she thought she might be in trouble. That sounds rather organized for someone who's been heavily drugged.
(speechless)
That part of Hueytown is the rural ghetto. Yes, there is such a thing.
Her murderer had something to do with that house. It belonged to an old man who moved in with family when he got too sick to care for himself. The house, while abandoned, was kept locked. Find who used it recently—probably family—and you have either the murderer or an acquaintance there of.
Because back in the day, it wasnt dangerous. And I am talking about the 70s. Young women are clueless sometimes as it has become a likely death sentence now.
Hard to tell where this happened. Hueytown is a name unfamiliar to me. he AL.com is a clue to Alabama?
When I clicked on the AL.com up popped a story out of Birmingham, so my guess was correct.
I wish freepers who post stories would identify a location - at least the state - within the story. Thanks.
In less time that it took to write your post you could have highlighted Hueytown, right clicked and searched google for the map location.
Good place to start looking.
Another thought - someone who lives within several blocks who knew by neighborhood familiarity that the old man was gone.
The state is in the “TOPICS” and “KEYWORDS” sections.
