I voted for Nixon in 72 and voted Republican ever since. But during the 80’s I was getting married and raising kids and working my tail off. I left politics to the “experts”. After growing up and buying homes and property I started hating taxes. In retrospect, nothing has changed. Loved the music.

She was. A voluptuous blonde. I was 25 and she was 32 and divorced. Man. What a time. What a woman.

I still have a mad crush on Cyndi Lauper. All these years later, even after she’s become a wack-job lib, I still have it bad for her.

I only wish Hollywood and sports was more like it was then when they contributed to the general uplifting of the nation’s mood.

I was stationed in the Egyptian Sinai with the MFO at that time. Sat many hours manning my defensive position with my trusty M10 S&W 38 SPL with 4 inch barrel, probably striking fear in the hearts of terrorists everywhere. :)

Because this is the 80s, starting over again!

Thank you God and thank you President Trump!

It’s like the 1980s with even worse music and liberals more annoying than ever.

Yes. The lack of good music today really sets us apart from the 80s.

I just started college when he was elected, he was the first President I ever voted for and I was totally into conservatism and had Reagan stickers all over my first car. I would drive it to the campus parking lot, matter of fact I even had a Reagan tee shirt, and I would wear that and I never ever ever had any problem from anybody, and this was leftist New York. Today though? Without question my car would have been destroyed by vandals and I would have been attacked. Back in 1980 though, the WW2/Korean war era professors were still teaching and the left didn’t completely take over the universities yet so communist indoctrination wasn’t going on full speed ahead like it is today, plus Reagan did the country a huge favor by constantly speaking out against communism which would counter-act the few leftists who were beginning to indoctrinate students. Today though it’s a nightmare, you get a-holes like this guy everywhere......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abHDtSz9Dog

LOL! Love your tagline! Perfect! You should make that into tee shirts and posters.

Ronald Reagan bombed Libya, after quadaffi bombmed a Berlin nightclub.

Don't forget the bombed airliner which went down in Lockerbie, Scotland. There was plenty of provocation.

I was on the USS America sitting on the 'Line of Death' in the Gulf of
Sidra when El Dorado Canyon went down. We were sitting in the shop
playing hearts when the GQ was sounded and the cats started firing
Intruders and Prowlers into the air...good times.

the genial, conventional style of Reagan and Thatcher in the 1980s.

How anyone who watched, or heard Thatcher while she was alive could say she was genial or conventional is beyond me.

She was Sarah Palin on steroids with a voice that never sounded screechy. A full bore Trump in a China shop. She destroyed people who debated her, simply eviscerated them. She was awesome.

I made up for your foolishness. 1984 was my first vote. I was in college and didn’t know about absentee voting. I told my instructors I wasn’t going to be in class on Tuesday so I could go home and vote.

I too had a female interest and asked if she wanted to go for a quick road trip. She did.

I drove 400 miles to vote for Ronald Reagan and am coming up on 33 years of being married to the girl.

I was in coal mining when Jimmah Cahtah got his walking papers.
I can’t tell you how pleased we were to see the Gipper take charge.

Women aren’t nearly as hot, and now they are tattooed with fishhooks in their faces.

I have to wonder what a movie with women who can think with killer bodies and great hair would do in the box office? No one has bothered to make one in a long, long time.

Scarlett Johansen had the assets, but not the noggin, and she’s long in the tooth. I can’t think of a bonified serious hottie in the realm of Cheryl Tiegs or Farrah Fawcett or Morgan Fairchild.

Every time they try to remake Charlie’s Angels it just makes it worse and worse and worse. Even the version with Bill Murray (I literally could not recall any of the three main attraction actresses just now) was a nad-shriveling train wreck.

Every TV show had knee buckling hotness. Dan Tanna’s female secretary in VEGA$. Can’t remember her name, but her face, hair, and body were just AAA rated.

The best looking female actresses now are maybe A or BBB at best (if we’re rating them like bonds). The rest I refuse to rate.

Brie Larsen - what a waste. Decent body, but then her mouth opens and everything within hearing shrivels.

Sicario is a pretty good movie. Rewatched it. Told from the perspective of a female FBI doorkicker. By the end of the movie, she realizes she is so far over her head and in the wrong job. Awesome guy movie, in that it affirms everything you believe about what you can’t see that’s going on in on the southern border.

I’m amazed Barbara Striesand’s stepson was in that movie (and was very good in it).

The 80’s will return when Daisy Duke comes back in, and tattoos start going back out. When Eric Robert’s sister started being hailed as the really hot chick (WORST part of Ocean’s 11 - nobody is going to get out of jail and come back for that - ever), I knew we were in for heavy rolls as a nation and a world.

Wife and I got to hear Lady Thatcher speak in Minneapolis when we lived in the Twin Cities. She truly was the UK’s Gipper.
