Thanks.

And our four adult kids are all Trump voters

“Women aren’t nearly as hot, and now they are tattooed with fishhooks in their faces.”

LOL! Add in green or pink egg-beater hair, and your imagery is complete.

I heard her speak in Dallas shortly after her time as PM.

She was amazing. Just brilliant. It's hard to believe the Brits let their country break so bad after she left.

Britain is a reminder that we are always one generation away from being left in the dust. I hope the current guy can salvage something of what was once a great nation.

Sorry to hear that. But see?!?

Every show had a ringer like that. You had to or you just could not compete. Tip to toe gorgeous, head screwed on straight, hair wasn’t even that big, which was a plus actually.

In the modern day, I’d say Connie Britton is the closest thing to an 80’s woman there is, and she is relatively mature, but still hot. She debuted on Spin City in the 90s if I recall.

Always nice to remember the pre-Clinton days, too.

“Its the same level of hatred. Only back then there was no Twitter, no YouTube no social media.”

You’re right. A lot of Americans didn’t get to see the Democrats up close and personal. I did. I went to college at ESU and SOUGHT THEM OUT - most others, the reasonable people, just ignored them. But I went to their ‘teach-ins’, where they planned violent revolution, read the hardcore Communist/Socialist rags, cover to cover, and debated with some of them. And, for decades, when I told others just who the Democrats were and what they wanted to do with their perceived ‘enemies’, I was looked at as a nutcase (I still am, actually, when I talk about what their schools are doing to our kids...so I’ve given up on that).

Nope...the Democrats haven’t changed a bit - but now, in their hatred towards Trump, they’re forced to SHOW IT to the country.

But one thing has changed, which is the media - they’re now flat-out driven to take down Republicans. They used to try to be subtle about it - now they’re wide open, and they’re protected by the Supreme Court, and that scares me more than even the Democrats themselves.

The first amendment protection of publishers and CEO’s does not apply to conspiracy charges. Evidence of collaboration is evidence of conspiracy

We may have the same opportunity here and the enemy has been (conveniently) self-identifying.

Nearly married a slightly curvier version of the second but it was the wrong place at the wrong time. I wish big hair was back but there is some great music being made if one ignores what the big labels are trying to force on people.

As Thatcher clawed her way from the Tory backbench into leadership, she underwent a public transformation that tamed her tendency to screech when trying to emphasize a point in favor of an even, measured middle tone. She also took up the plain, dowdy dress and handbag ensembles with sensible shoes that became her trademark.

And, in English terms, Thatcher became genial in her public manner, with a reflexive smile and steady, earnest manner. Her conventional middle-class lifestyle and nerdy, older husband provided further assurance that even if astonishingly smart, determined, and hard-working, she was a reformist Tory and not a radical, rightwing kook. A chemist and lawyer by training, Thatcher made her case and won the detailed political argument over Britain's stagnation before winning election as Prime Minister pledged to dismantle the statism that was its cause.

In contrast, Boris Johnson is renowned for his rakish and unconventional personal life and undisciplined work habits. Where Thatcher was even and steady, constantly making a reasoned case for her policies and slowly accumulating support, Johnson is a brilliant high wire act. He drew attention to and staked everything on the single, politically transformative issue of Brexit and popular sovereignty. It was a grand gamble that won.

To be sure, in private, Thatcher tended to be demanding and hard to please. She accepted the nickname "Iron Lady" as a compliment of sorts even though it originated as a slam by a Soviet journalist. And there is that likely apocryphal story that we all hope is true as it captures an element of her personality. Supposedly, at a working lunch with her cabinet, Thatcher ordered beef for herself, and then, when asked about the vegetables, brusquely replied that they too would all have beef.

“when I told others just who the Democrats were and what they wanted to do with their perceived ‘enemies’, I was looked at as a nutcase”

I get the same reaction when I try to talk politics with my strongly democrat family.
Even my mother rolls her eyes and considers having my mental health evaluated. Our gov Northram is making her hesitate now and again. Problem is she thinks he’s one nut job in an otherwise sane party.

The open hatred began with Nixon. Unfortunately the Watergate fiasco gave them the ammo to hound him out of office.

When Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon they went after Ford, portraying him as a bumbling fool.

Then came Reagan. They tried portraying him as a dunce of a “B” grade actor who was a warmonger to boot. Unfortunately for them Ron Reagan was a very intelligent man who could communicate with the common man.

Both Bush’s were easy targets for the left. W took one punch and folded like a cheap suit.

When the msm got the Kenyan post turtle elected they thought it was over, they had won and their socialist utopia was here. Then real America rejected the drunken Razorback for the America loving Blue Collar Billionaire and they literally lost their Schiff.

The media hasn’t changed that much.
From Walter “what famine” Duranty to Walter “most trusted man in America” Cronkite to Brian “I was there” Williams they have been shills for the socialists.

What has changed is the populace.
Having completed their take over of the education system they are producing generations of slobbering, slavering Pavlovian zombies unable to think for themselves.
These zombies are loyal to the cause for the simple reason they know nothing else.
The left has their loyal foot soldiers so they no longer feel the need to hide their true faces.

Plus President Trump is damned good at making them loose their sanity.
Reminds me of Bugs Bunny easily besting Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian and the witches all at the same time while laughing about it.
