Update: In exchange for Emily Salazar’s resignation, 42 hours of back pay will be paid in the settlement between her and the Kern High School District.

The settlement states that Salazar will be paid back pay and for her administrative leave through April 30, 2019. The 42 hours of back pay came from when Salazar worked an extended day of twelve hours for an academic decathlon and 30 hours for multiple times she served as a period substitute for the 2018 to 2019 school year.

Along with her resignation, the settlement states she is no longer allowed to work or have a business relationship with the KHSD.

Salazar can be denied employment if she ever applied for employment in the future with the KHSD.

Salazar’s teaching credential is still valid in California and her benefits are secure under state and federal law, including the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985(COBRA).

Sadly, that lifestyle is more common than we might think. I used to wait on some couples who were known for that-its a small town and I’m 99.99% sure it was true. It always creeped me out.

Just yuck.

There’s another couple who frequents where I work now and they were super friendly when I was new and waited on them. The rest of the staff was laughing because they knew why they were being so friendly—once my straight laced values became apparent they became much less friendly. That couple seems even more dissipated and seedier than the others. It’s gross. Even my coworkers who are less conservative than I are repulsed by the idea.

God’s way is always the best way and ultimately leads to a more fulfilling and satisfying relationship than indulging in perverse behaviors. As far as whether or not one living like that can successfully teach, there are probably many who do who haven’t posted videos online. I wouldn’t want my kids to be under the authority of such a debased individual so once her perversion went public she should no longer be in charge of minor children.

So, high school kids are surfing porn videos. Does not look to me like there are any good guys in this story.

CA teaching commission has not disciplined her at all. In 2017, she was paid about $80,000. Her benefits were worth around $25,000.

This is absolutely typical for members of teachers unions. It's how they pitch their value to their members. In New York State there have been cases of teachers who were convicted of felonies, yet continued on the payroll drawing full pay and benefits for years until they had exhausted all of their appeals.

My daughter is a teacher and she is VERY cognizant of this. She has basically gotten off of social media out of an abundance of caution that nothing she posts ever be misconstrued in damaging ways. I recall she was upset that somebody else who happened to have her same name was posting racy stuff and she did not want her superiors thinking it was her.

The great lie told to porn performers is "Nobody will find out." Pretty much everybody finds out. If you make a porn video where your face is shown and put it on the internet, everybody you know will eventually find out about it.
