Twitter says system outage affected President Trump's personal account over the weekend, just hours after he shared a second article allegedly revealing the name of an intelligence community member who alerted officials to his July phone call with Ukraine.
Twitter Inc. (TWTR) - Get Report shares drifted lower Monday following a weekend outage that affected the personal account of President Donald Trump.
Last week, the President re-Tweeted a link to a Washington Examiner article that claimed to reveal the identity of a U.S. intelligence official who first alerted authorities to the July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that sparked a Democratic-lead impeachment inquiry.
Trump shared a second report from his personal account that appeared to name the official late Friday, but it was not seen for most of Saturday by the 68 million people that follow it. When it was finally visible Sunday, the original account that posted the link had been disabled.
"Due to an outage with one of our systems, tweets on account profiles were visible to some, but not others," Twitter Support said in a statement posted on its website. "We're still working on fixing this and apologize for any confusion."
Twitter shares were marked 1.24% lower in early trading Monday to change hands at $32.14 each, a move that would trim its year-to-date gain to around 12%.
Earlier this year, Trump accused Twitter using discriminatory and illegal practices to muzzle conservative voices and personalities on its mico-blogging website following media reports of "shadow banning" Republican-branded Tweets that limit their potential viewers.
Twitter SHADOW BANNING prominent Republicans. Not good, Trump Tweeted on July 26. We will look into this discriminatory and illegal practice at once! Many complaints.
The name is Eric Ciaramella.
Ive said for a while that Twitter, Facebook, Google et al need a nice combined FEC and SEC anal probe. They are making obvious in-kind campaign contributions and acting in ways that is detrimental to shareholder value. I would think there would be a way for an enterprising lawyer to go for a shareholder lawsuit.
Today’s tech firms are being ran by “children” too immature to know what danger they are putting their industry in.
They are gathering and selling personal information on everyone. All it would take is one law that prohibits them from doing so without the express permission of everyone involved (both parties to the communication, or business transaction).
So go ahead children, yuck it up and play games with President Trump’s account. Just don’t be surprised when he supports legislation to put more regulations on your industry.
Due to an outage (intentional by our Marxist censors), some could see the Presidents account and some not(due to shadow banning), we were caught so we will fix it, eventually...
Thanks for reminding me. I just posted this on my Twitter (let’s see how long it lasts)
“So when do you all think the whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, will be legally heard from? Is he hiding out, avoiding all things Arkansas? Hmmm?”
You're probably gone already.
So go ahead children, yuck it up and play games with President Trumps account. Just dont be surprised when he supports legislation to put more regulations on your industry.
You are funny. The House and Senate are NEVER going to produce legislation to stop them.
Nope, it was still there. However, I didn’t tweet it to anyone, so I deleted it and reposted it, tweeting the Pres and Dan Bongino.
You are funny. The House and Senate are NEVER going to produce legislation to stop them.
I guess we will just have to wait and see how it all turns out.
Big tech needs its back broken. They are pure evil and a threat to our nation.
Did Eric Ciaramella kill Epstein? He didn’t kill himself.
I have refused Twitter and got myself kicked off of Fakebook by trashing Schmuckerberg on his own platform. It was easier and more complete than trying to quit.
I'll have to remember that. Right now all I do there is comment on Media items to spread The Word, but at some point I'll probably trigger someone and I will be "temporarily suspended". That's when I'll follow your advice rather than try a formal exit.
Good point.
“Glitches” like “mistakes” are lies. If it is random and accidental, once in a while, it goes in the FAVOR of the conservatives.
No, they aren’t children. They are liberals who think morality is derived from liberal social justice. Therefore, suppressing freedom of speech and interfering in elections is MORAL and a moral necessity, for the good of the “good” liberal party.

<>The House and Senate are NEVER going to produce legislation to stop them<>
The only legislation that passes is that which enriches member’s personal wealth or reelection or both. There’s no democrat upside to confronting a social media colossus that intends to shut down all opposition, including the President.
The next time the rats the Presidency and Congress, they’ll never let go.
