He said last year that we need to get back to the church and virgin mary.... Said NOTHING about the Trinity. Nothing about Jesus. Nothing about God.... Nothing about the Cross, the Resurrection. Nothing about the Lord’s Prayer. Nothing about what Christ said about I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIGHT NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT BY ME. Mary & Joseph were wonderful earthly parents, but they are just HUMANS. They have NO POWER.

All this is following to the letter the standard eschatology of American-style Fundamentalist Protestantism. Considering the role of the Lucis Trust at the UN I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if some of these folks are actually pursuing an inverted form of that religion. Maybe they really expect the Beautiful Creature with the Good Intentions to “enlighten” man and rescue him from the big, bad Demiurge???

Everyone may criticize Francis for saying what obviously needs to be said, but this is straight from the Bible. Jesus said it himself when he said something along those lines. It was in his sermon on the mount, I think.
