Atlanta congressman Rep. John Lewis announced Sunday he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Doctors informed Lewis his cancer is stage IV.

buh-bye
.....um, actually he has been a regular race-baiting congressional roach, similar to Elijah Cummings. The fake news deifies Lewis because of his association with MLK.
I find little-to-no use for John Lewis as a Congressman, though I acknowledge his decades-ago civil rights activism. I hope only that God sees fit to minimize his pain on the way out, and that Lewis has the good sense to retire now and spend his last days with family and friends. The country certainly does not need him to spend any more of his time the way hes spent the last few decades.
Re post #22: Juan McNasty McStain is a clear exception!
He was a vile, treacherous, and vicious bast@rd until he drew his very last breath. May he roast in hell forever!
RooRoo: see #159 above.
He refused to attend Trump’s inauguration saying that he was an illegitimate President, and then claimed that it was the first time he’d missed an Inauguration, but he lied, because he hadn’t attended George W. Bush’s either...for the same reason. And back on March 20, 2010 as the Congressional Black Caucus walked through a group of Tea Party members at the Capitol Building, he claimed racial slurs were said towards the group. It was all B.S.
My brother passed away in July from pancreatic cancer. He was 58 and a fighter. He lived for 40 months after being diagnosed and worked (worked, not just drew a paycheck) until one week before he died.

They'lll have to carry him out of The Capitol. Does he have a son waiting to run for the office? Or will his widow do so? I don't wish this on anyone, but Lewis has long overstayed his usefulness - if he ever had any - in D.C.
Would it be in bad taste if I suggested a drinking game for after he passes? Every time hes referred to as a civil rights icon we down a shot.
Hes a wicked tyrant and, as you correctly point out, a known liar. If he resigns tomorrow, then I wish him 100 years. If not, he cant kick off fast enough for my taste
Thank you for reminding us what a nasty lying race-baiter John Lewis has been during his entire congressional career.
Just because hes dying of cancer doesnt suddenly make him a good man.
His wife of 44 years died in 2012. They have one child, a son John Miles Lewis. Not sure how old he is. Can't find anything on him.
Thank you.
If he respected his constituents more than he craves his power he would graciously resign and tend to his health, his family and his affairs.
Yes, thank you. It can happen to anyone...
I don’t like this man’s disgraceful politics, but I will take the attitude of my Lord regarding him...
“I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the just and on the unjust.” (Matthew 5:44-45)
“Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, and it displeases Him, and He turn away His wrath from him.” (Proverbs 24:17-18)
“Say to them: ‘As I live, says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.’ (Ezekiel 33:11)
Happy New Year to you, and yours too!!
Yes, and there will be others like Jerry Nadler to follow
Just curious,
Are they all coffee drinkers?
Soon he will be a good democrat, may God have mercy on his soul, or not.
