Its Friday and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) wants Fox News contributor Sara Carter to know that her website posted about a 17-month-old interview and made it look like he was defending the FBI in the wake of the Department of Justice Inspector Generals report on Crossfire Hurricane.
During the old interview in question, CNN anchor Jake Tapper asked Rubio a series of questions about the FBIs applications for surveilling former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
At the time, Rubio said, I dont think [the FBI] did anything wrong. I think they went to the court, they got the judges to approve it, they laid out all the information, and there was a lot reasons unrelated to the dossier for why they wanted to look at Carter Page.
Rubio was not clearly happy that this interview resurfaced without additional context because his commentary about the FBI doing nothing wrong turned out not to be correct.

1. Unfortunately, when I think of political leaders trying to get to the bottom of the Obama administrations corruption in the lead up to the 2016 Trump election and beyond, thats been painstakingly uncovered over several years by great patriots...— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) December 28, 2019
2. ... Marco Rubio does not come to mind as among them. https://t.co/n32HJ5GVkB— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) December 28, 2019
Rubio is a member of the most corrupt committee in Congress, i,e, the Senate Intelligence Committee. Rubio is a NeverTrumper.
“Rubio is a member of the most corrupt committee in Congress, i,e, the Senate Intelligence Committee. Rubio is a NeverTrumper.”
EXACTLY!
Perhaps Bubbles should THINK before he speaks, especially if he has no clue as to WTF went on.
He DESERVES the punishment - those are HIS WORDS, no one else’s.
Senator @marcorubio: @jaketapper spoke with you about moral authority.
Given alleged connections between one of your large 2016 donors and the Oppo Research firm that commissioned the FISA abuse #DodgyDossier, what did you know and when did you know it?https://t.co/56ftcHfLCD— Carter Page, Ph.D. (@carterwpage) July 22, 2018
Rubio’s words were _exactly_ in context.
Rubio was covering up for the Deep State.
“Rubio was covering up for the Deep State.”
Yep, and Carter should not have ceded to his demands. Words mean things, and Bubbles decided to say crap either without knowing the story, flat-out lying, and/or thinking the real truth would never come out.
It would have MUCH EASIER for him to simply say that he doesn’t have enough information to confirm or refute Trump’s claims of unauthorized spying. It really isn’t that hard - he didn’t even have to march lock-step behind Trump, just deflect the question.
But he chose to side with people out to destroy Trump and gave CREDIBILITY to those people...it’s time for him to go into private law practice.
Why do you say this? He has voted for every trump judge and bill. Im glad only Florida votes for senators. Idiots like in Alabama, Kentucky and Louisiana are so screwed up. And dont even start on the northern states or even West Virginia and Montana. Thank God at least Florida is deep red unlike the majority of other states.
No, he's too much of an empty suit to be let in on the coup.
Rubio is partially correct on this...but still a backstabber
LOL!

So is Tom Cotton. Did he ever follow up on that stern letter he sent to the IC IG? Haven’t heard anything about that. Sad to see the swamp swallow another promising conservative but Cotton has been little more than useless in the Age of Trump.
Yeah. Thanks. HOORAY Sara Carter! What have they got on small hands, Micro? He’s such a stalwart sociopath.
Great FReeper humor BUMP!
HOORAY Chief!
