The European Union and Britain will struggle to seal an agreement on trade and other aspects of their future ties after Brexit next year and should consider extending the negotiations beyond 2020, a top EU official said in an interview published Friday.
The U.K. is scheduled to leave the EU on Jan. 31. If it does, it will be the first time a country leaves the worlds biggest trading bloc. Negotiations between the remaining members and the British government on future trade, fisheries, education and transport relations can only begin after that date and must conclude by the end of 2020.
I am very concerned about how little time we have, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told the French business newspaper Les Echos. It seems to me that, on both sides, we should seriously consider whether the negotiations are feasible in such a short time. [ ]
The Brexit bill contained amendments that bar the British government from extending the transition period beyond 2020.

and the likely wad of Rothschild/Soros money you likely rode in on.
Both the EU and *slam make it very difficult to leave the fold. East Germany had a wall to keep people in. How many more would leave if it weren’t made so difficult?!

They had three years. Now they are worried about time?
Boris Johnson would be more than happy to do a no-deal Brexit.
That’s just too bad.
I guess the EU is like the Hotel California, you can checkout but you can never leave.
End of 2020 is already a delay.
This again? A no-deal Brexit is still an option, and if it happens it won’t be the end of negotiations, it will be the beginning under new terms. Anyone who pretends to be alarmed by the sudden urgency of the thing is joking or has been living in a cave for the last three years.
Gee, who could have seen this coming?
We all know that this globalist crap is never going to stop, or even slow down, until a few big players are either incarcerated or swinging from lamp posts. We also know neither of those things is going to happen.
The EU is like a roach motel.
“The EU is like a roach motel.”
More like Bates Motel.
Get out while you still can. Negotiate from the outside.
She displays a great degree of incompetence when she acts like this is all a surprise.
GB is going to be the 🇺🇸 power broker for all trade into Europe and will eat the ECB's lunch as they flit and flutter about saying "How dare you!"
She is the former pinko “defense” minister of Germany. Makes Merkel look like Trump. Very bad news to have her in this important EU post.
They want to run out the clock until a new UK election.
An aside: I noticed the non biased objectivity of the Ass. Press article.
As well took note of this “...British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has insisted he would not agree to any delays.”
Boris Johnson could extend his middle finger as response, however I feel certain he has much more class than to do such a thing.
