Anguished SEALs Recall Chief as 'Evil' and 'Toxic'
New York Times via Yoohoo News ^ | 12/27/2019 | Not Attributed

Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, a medic in the platoon, told the investigators: “You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving.” Such dire descriptions of Gallagher, who had eight combat deployments and sometimes went by the nickname Blade, are in marked contrast to Trump’s portrayal of him at a recent political rally in Florida as one of “our great fighters.”

People like Gallagher help the rest of us sleep comfortably at night. Comforts me to know that the enemy fears a warrior like Gallagher.

I guess this guy supported bombing the Korean end of the bridge over the Yalu River. Maybe he thinks Gallagher should have had more sensitivity training. . . moron tool.

Isn’t a SEAL medic not really a SEAL? Like a Corpsman?

They call him "Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott." The real SEALs all know their BUDS class number but I don't know if Scott went through one.

I don’t know. I would think a Seal is a Seal, medic or not.

Stupid, snowflake, urban-progressive Americans don’t question the endless wars in the mideast, or “color revolutions” and chaos their politicians create throughout the world.

But they are shocked that a man they send to fight these wars has been engaged in killing the enemies they created, and want to crucify him because it offends their sensibilities.

I’m wondering if their are some affirmative action/racial issues going on here. Some jealously, obviously, too.

I guess some of these cryin nancies never heard the expression “ if it moves kill it”.

Frankly they lost me at the part where a couple of SEALs broke down crying. Lets get real here. I was more shocked at a bunch of cry baby SEALs than stabbing some ISIS freak.

I read that the medic who said he suffocated the kid testified that he did it because they were getting ready to have to turn him over to some warlord who was going to torture the already dying guy in a gruesome way til he actually expired. It sounds like they did him a favor.

I believe a few years after 911, I recall there was a shortage, then some changes in the training and how the SEAL teams would be utilized. They have been pulled out of their historical purpose to supplement new requirements (per strategies) that the regular combat unit couldn’t entirely fulfill.

We have had an ongoing problem of misaligned force structures and bureaucratic mission creep.

During the height of the campaigning in Iraq, we had Army E-6 armor NCOs not being qualified on the M1-series tank--because we used armor troops to do dismounted patrols because we lacked enough infantry and military police. Shoot, we put artillerymen out on patrol too.

After 9-11, we needed more commando type units than the Army could provide. So SEALs have been used. But like the old First Special Service Force of World War II, they are overqualified for most of their work. Their peculiar skills of Naval Special Warfare (combat swimming, diving, boat infiltration, boarding party tactics, etc.) are not relevant in the Hindu Kush.

And, to be blunt, let's ask why so many Marines have been sent to Afghanistan. Are the Marines' skills in amphibious warfare relevant in a semi-arid land-locked country? Marine rifle battalions are definitely formidable units, but isn't every Marine rifle battalion in Helmand Province one less Marine rifle battalion that is available for maritime power projection? One must ponder how much of this practice is driven either by a lack of Army rifle battalions or the bureaucratic imperative for the Marines to get some action and demonstrate their relevance.

Now, before some of you Jarheads out there start flaming me, I am not questioning the fighting prowess of the Marines or SEALS. What I am questioning is the efficiency of continuing to depend upon troops who are not being used for their intended specialized purpose.

The flip-side of this is that the Marines are now trying to regain their amphib mojo to counter China, while the Army now is trying to regain their heavy-metal tradecraft to counter Russian tank divisions.

The man is out of the military and retired, yet the military leaks this information to the NY Times, it goes to show you how desperate they were to destroy Eddie Gallagher.

How often does the military release video of interrogations and pictures used in a military trial.

In one report about this the picture of the dead ISIS fighter and the people posing with the corpse was released.

Seeing as how it’s the Slimes there’s a very real possibility that not a word of this is accurate...

Steady on Jeeves. Liking Trump is fine but saying he would have been a better SEAL than actual SEALs, when the extent of his military’s experience was as a school cadet, seems overboard.

Can’t help but be reminded of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice— “Had Lady Catherine ever learnt to play (the pianoforte), she would be truly proficient!”

“You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving.”

Gee, I thought guys like him joined Special OPs to teach our enemies how to crochet. So where the folks he was killing the kind that gleefully kill women and children to further a highly evil religious cause?

“Isn’t a SEAL medic not really a SEAL? Like a Corpsman?”

Not at all. A SEAL medic is every bit a BUD/S graduate and Trident wearing team member as anyone else.

1952, 53 in Korea - a sound, a rustling bush would cause multiple volleys from M-1 rifles from everyone within earshot, and perhaps a concentration of 105 howitzer rounds for good measure. If you are in a combat zone, expect it!!
