President Trump issued a warning to California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday, threatening federal intervention if Newsom is unable to solve his state's homeless crisis.
"Governor Gavin N has done a really bad job on taking care of the homeless population in California. If he cant fix the problem, the Federal Govt. will get involved!" Trump tweeted.
The Golden State has led the nation in the number of homeless people with an estimated total of over 129,972 in January 2018, according to a Department of Housing and Urban Development [HUD] report. Just over 68 percent of the homeless population in California, the most populous U.S. state, is also categorized as unsheltered.

Homelessness is a STATE problem. I see no reason for the Febs to get involved. Let California sit in its own poop.
As a way to highlight demopoop incompetence and incontinence... I guess.
Otherwise, why through more fed dollars down a democrap sh*thole?
the endemic diseases, and terrorist-brought
infections, which will now grow in California
will become epidemic eventually.
This is what he wants more of our tax dollars, f-em.
Yep. Less than six months ago, Director of HUD, Dr. Ben Carson, sent letter to California stating that CA homelessness is a direct result of failed state policy.
Throwing money at a problem does not always fix the problem.
Nancy Pelosy and Adam Shiff’s jewel in the crown is a turd.
What’s his solution?
“Homelessness is a STATE problem. I see no reason for the Febs to get involved. Let California sit in its own poop.”
I agree. But, as most everything, the devil is in the details. I am vehemently opposed to ANY fed money going to California to address this crisis of California’s own making.
Let the earthquake correct the problem.
This is the typical solution for Democrat problems. They ruin something and then let it get so bad because they are stubbornly limited ideologically. It has to hit rock bottom and then the government throws in Fed Money.Trump and Carson will help CA just so they can later save NYC from the same ruin. Im betting many Democrat investors have been waiting for just this tipping point for their windfall. End sanctuary cities immediately and start deportations statewide.
Let's say....around the time of the Rat Party's convention!
ROTFL!
It's a drug addiction problem.

But no one wants to acknowledge that, least of all Democrat politicians and activists.
They want MORE drugs legalized and have de-criminalized drug offenses.
Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, San Jose, San Diego all have massive populations of drug addicts on the streets.
Crying "homeless crisis" allows them to side-step the real problem, and justifies their lust for Billions of more dollars to "fix the problem."
Unfortunately.
But what is a federal solution?
Re-open mental hospitals? Build heroin camps?
And do what with the people?
Oh, good gravy.
“Homelessness is a STATE problem. I see no reason for the Febs to get involved. Let California sit in its own poop.”
This ^^^ What a bad idea. It’s unconstitutional and the feds would just make a mess of it. That would relieve the folks who created the problem of responsibility and give them someone to blame.
Crapifornia inevitably exports its problems to the rest of the USA. In this case the greatest concern is plague. Experts have stated there is grave risk of Bubonic plague, contagious forms of leprosy and other horrors breaking out due to what is being encouraged in CrapiCuckistan. Given the national security risk, President Trump is well within reason to assess the situation and intervene as he best determines.
I agree as well. However, I’m assuming this is how Trump “educates” the dumbed down electorate to pay attention to what’s really happening....as once again, because the media won’t report it properly.
Why?? Let California harvest its poisoned policies.
Actually, yes.
See the 50:30 mark of the film "Seattle is Dying."
