Rachel Maddow says 'implosion' of NRA would be 'biggest' political story if not for impeachment
Fox News ^ | 12/25/19 | Joseph A Wolfsohn

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow claimed Tuesday night that the "implosion" of the National Rifle Association (NRA) would be the biggest political news story if it weren't for the impeachment of President Trump.

Maddow began by touting the NRA's "legendary" power and major influence over politicians -- and then highlighted the rather turbulent year for the prominent guns rights organization. This included the revelation of Russia agent Maria Butina's attempt to infiltrate the group during the 2016 election and reports of the nonprofit's suspicious spending, which sparked an avalanche of lawsuits and investigations.

IOW, neither "top story" is actually anything but a DNC talking point.

"This included the revelation of Russia agent Maria Butina's attempt to infiltrate the group during the 2016 election . . . "

That was one of the strangest, fishiest stories of the year; it seemed calculated to fit into the Trump/Russia frenzy, and seemed like a BS charge. Meanwhile, Chinese, Saudi, and Iranian operatives are running wild all over the US, infiltrating organizations and influencing our politics and institutions in countless ways.

"Butina was not a Russian agent & she didn’t try to “infiltrate”."

Don't blame Fox news; the charges against her were trumped-up BS, but she WAS convicted and served time (a month or two).

Can there be any question at all the leftist operatives in the media and dem party want a full blown civil war in America?

I think not. It’s what they crave. They wouldn’t like the ending to such a war because they would probably not see it but it is what they want.

Short sighted and idiotic but then the left has never been known for their intelligence; only ambition and control.

I’ll come back to the NRA when Wayne is hung from a tree.

Reminds me of the stink that was raised when the Mercury astronauts were given that contract with Life magazine.
I think it was Glenn who convinced Kennedy that it wasn’t unreasonable considering all the travel & public appearance expenses the guys were expected to make on a military salary.

Is that guy still on the air?

Funny one. "They" still on the air. I could avoid him or her that way. PC of me.

I would say big story is Maddow somehow got even uglier during the year, but she might burst into tears for ten minutes on the air. Don't want that spectacle.

It’s almost like North went in to destroy. We need to protect our rights, not throw grenades within one of the organizations standing athwart of the gun grabbers. If the NRA needs to change, that discussion needs to be a lot less public and with a lot less aid and comfort to our leftist enemies.

We don’t need the NRA to protect our Rights. We can handle it just fine.

I have been a member since 1967.... not a life member, year to year renewal....a little more support over time. From what I can tell NRA is doing well and will increase as states like Blackface’s VA do their progressive gun grabbing crap.

Madcow is a sick heffer... no more like a steer.

Well put. I have been a Life Member of the NRA for 37 years.

While serving as on officer on the executive committee of a local Boy Scout council, 1 of the council field directors told me a similar story about the CEO of the United Way. All BSA local councils submit annual requests to their local UW chapters for funding to keep their lights on and doors open.

Some Freepers may remember the name, William Aramony, CEO of the UW from 1970-1992. He helped build the UW into the largest charity in the U.S. He retired in 1992 amid criminal charges of fraud and financial mismanagement, for which he was subsequently convicted and sentenced to prison.

I just don't know what to make of the feud between Wayne LaPierre and Lt. Col. Oliver North. For the time being, I will remain with the NRA. Pray that they get their ship together.

Why would Fox report what Madcow thinks? Does someone over there have a psychological problem? I believe the opposite of whatever Madcow says and only listen with suspicion what I get from Fox.

So now I am suspicious about something I do not believe. This is a weird state of mind to be in.

Madcow must be hitting the amyl nitrate again, or whatever it is faggies use to heighten their orgasmic Schadenfreude over their enemies’ imagined misfortunes.

NRA/ILA is coming out swinging in the Virginia 2nd Amendment Rebellion. Membership will soar in the Old Dominion as their mad dictator of a governor begins to think he’s Pol Pot to gun owners.

NRA coming out swinging in Virginia battle....

“I have not yet begun to fight!” was the immortal retort of Captain John Paul Jones to a request to surrender as he and his crew engaged in a desperate battle with a British frigate during the American Revolution.
