Everyone knows the Ukrainians bought the house for coke head Hunter. This is no real news story - nothing to see here.

https://www.trulia.com/p/ca/los-angeles/3512-multiview-dr-los-angeles-ca-90068—1005832210 .......... $14,000 on trulia.com

Realtor.com says the last sale was in 2013

Trick right now is to find out who Mogharrabi and Galich and ask them. Of course they’ll probably claim some type of confidentiality for something will be a matter of public record.

Quite the operation by someone to put that kind of false information on legitimate databases, when all it’ll take is a quick peak at the tax assessor site to see the most recent sale. But, of course, in LA you have to pay for access. But, if anyone knows a real estate agent in Cali, they’ll be able to quickly verify through MLS.

He must’ve read Trump’s ‘Art of the Deal’ to get a bargain like that!

(14K a month to RENT? What a ‘tard. But, we already knew that.)

The Ukrainians have a strange way of paying their consultants.

Tax assessor would never let them get away with 14,000 as the value. Even if a gift, property tax will be based on fair market value.

This seems kind of dumb of Ann when clearly it was a confused point of data entry for Zillow.

“Tax laws allow you to receive a gift up to $14K from an individual without having to pay taxes on it.”

You can give & receive a lot more than $14K without taxes.

“If you gift more than the exclusion to a recipient, you will need to file tax forms to disclose those gifts to the IRS. You may also have to pay taxes on it. If that’s the case, the tax rates range from 18% up to 40%. However, you won’t have to pay any taxes as long as you haven’t hit the lifetime gift tax exemption.

The Lifetime Gift Tax Exemption

Most taxpayers won’t ever pay gift tax because the IRS allows you to gift up to $11.58 million over your lifetime without having to pay gift tax. This is the lifetime gift tax exemption, and it’s roughly $180,000 higher than it was in 2019.

So let’s say that in 2020 you gift $215,000 to your friend. This gift is $200,000 over the annual gift exclusion. That means you will need to report it to the IRS. However, you won’t immediately have to pay tax on that gift. Instead, the IRS deducts that $200,000 from your lifetime gift tax exemption. Assuming you have never made any other gifts over the annual exemption, your remaining lifetime exemption is now $11.38 million ($11.58 million minus $200,000).”

The land comprises over 80% of the cost. Unless the land was condemned for rebuilding on; the property would retain most of its value, even if the house was destroyed.

You can give & receive a lot more than $14K without taxes.

I don't like the IRS (my cousin worked there, and I let her know I didn't like the IRS). So stay under the max, and not have to report anything. My wife and I together can gift $28K. I think the government has enough of their hands in our pockets and there shouldn't be limits to how much you want to give, because we already paid taxes on it while earning it.
