Shoppers gave retailers a massive boost Saturday by making it the biggest sales day in U.S. retail history.
Super Saturday sales reached $34.4 billion thanks to a booming economy and more jobs, according to retail research firm Customer Growth Partners.
Paced by the Big Four mega-retailers Walmart, Amazon, Costco and Target Super Saturday was boosted by the best traffic our team has seen in years, said the firms president, Craig Johnson.
Johnson noted that stronger household finances have put consumers in a buying mood this season, adding that more of them are shopping online, which has accounted for a 58 percent sales growth compared to last year.
The weekend record beat out Black Fridays $31.2 billion and Cyber Mondays $19.1 billion, a Fox Business report said.
In November, incomes rose by half a percentage point, which caused consumer spending to rise at a 0.4 percent annual rate, according to Breitbart Newss John Carney.
He continued:
The higher spending is not due to rising prices. Inflation, as measured by the Federal Reserves preferred price indicator, is still running well below the Feds 2 percent target. It came in at just 1.5 percent for November compared with a year ago. And despite the rise in consumer spending, Americans are saving more. The saving rate edged up to 7.9 percent of after-tax income in November. The jump in incomes and consumer spending undermines the narrative of an ailing economy that Democrat presidential hopefuls pushed at Thursday nights debate.
Working-class Americans are experiencing the biggest gains thanks to a good economy under the Trump administration, White House Deputy Director of Communications Adam Kennedy said during an interview on SiriusXMs Breitbart News Sunday.

“The economy SUCKS...RECESSION...IMPEACH!!”
Thank you, Jesus! And President Trump.
Adding some perspective.
What does the Federal Government spend in one day?
More than it has every day.
And everyone jolly and with Merry Christmas all over.
Trumps fault!
“(Winning) Retailers Make Historic $34.4 Billion During Super Saturday Sales”
Gotta elect democrats and put an end to this happy horseshit.
A stock market melt-up is baked in for 2020, although too much too soon is never a good thing. Can you imagine how well Trump’s America would be doing now if Democrats hadn’t invoked gonzo tribal warfare over his every move for the past 3.5 years? Give it up already Democrat losers.
Obama laid the foundation for this by putting people on two years of Unemployment, making healthcare more expensive, and over taxation and regulation of businesses!!! /sarc
Wait a minute. According to Joe Biden and Lizzy Warren the economy isn’t doing the great.
They wouldn’t be lying would they?
Joe BiteMe and Dizzy Lizzy deserve this.
Bill Maher... is that you?
it’s no wonder that impeachment is the Democrats only option ...
Yeah. If only the blue areas were pulling their weights
Too many blue bois in the wagon
Trump ought to roll with that narrative right into the elections. It is a Productive Econony verses a Regressive or Non Productive Economy. The left has positioned itself to attack productivity across the board. Trump needs to point out how his productive economy is lifting many boats.
to answer your question: the Federal govt spends on average over 24 hours 9.8 billion.
The big difference is that govt spending doesn’t expand or grow as does private or consumer spending, often it constricts by taking money out of in demand gods and services: e.g. spend a few billion implementing fed govt regulations and it doesn’t translate into more jobs beyond the govt workers, spend the same billions in consumer and it does, the baker buys flour , the farmer hires truckers etc but you knew all that
yes-agree-anything that he tweets or says should be only on this message: jobs, jobs jobs! and a Productive Economy verses a Regressive or Non Productive Economy
Consumers are driving to and fro in a frantic rush. Drivers slamming on their brakes, blasting their horns but nobody else can tell where the screw-up was, failing to use their turn signals before changing lanes...It’s not ALL good! However, it’ll have to do. KAG!
