Former Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie (D) on Monday called on Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) to resign from Congress, citing her "present" vote on impeaching President Trump and absence from Capitol Hill due to her presidential campaign.
I feel very strongly the 2nd District of Hawaii must be fully represented, Abercrombie, a Democrat who previously served in the House for nearly two decades, said at a press conference, according to the Honolulu Civil Beat.
Abercrombie said Gabbard should step down and allow a special election to fill her seat. Gabbard, who has served in the House since 2013, has already said that she will not seek reelection to focus on her presidential campaign.

I vote to eject Hawaii, Fine with 49.
Hmmm. No I say she stays.
If they will attack each other like this, imagine what they would do to conservatives if unfettered by the law.
As if it matters if she isnt there.
Hawaii is >80% D.
Any thoughts from Fitch?
Gabbard is the only Dem candidate who acually has the basic qualifucations to be president. Thats why the Dem lefty/Clinton crowd hate her.
Gabbard should double down. If she gets enough funding she could dispatch the rest of the field in good order.
But then, my being selfish, maybe President Trump could turn her to join the Republican party and have a Trump rally right in Honolulu.
So let me get this straight, a democrat who doesn’t vote for impeachment must resign and a republican senator who says they will vote to acquit must recuse themselves, got it sigh
So a has-been wants to make a noise. She is fully representing and you have drunk the LEFTist koolade. What a maroon!
To avoid any problems like this in the future, Gabbard should contact Gov. Abercrombie before every Congressional vote. Then Gabbard should vote exactly how Abercrombie tells her to.
“...to fill her seat.”
That thought did cross my mind.
I like it when these dummies keep spewing their hate. Difference between Tulsi and your below average RAT is that she isn’t stupid.
Shouldn’t this be for anyone running for POTUS. The fact that Harris ran dropped out and is still senator and all the others etc. means they often have a backstop just in case there is no groundswell.
Democrats have become a totalitarian socialist party.
Its time for them to be barred office outright in the US.
This is exactly the type of diversity, inclusion and tolerance that Cuomo is talking about when he vetoed a bill that would allow all federal judges from overseeing a wedding because some voted for Trump. -sarc
My response would be:
Mr Abercrombie should stick to what he does best, like photographing little boys in the park
It’s for voting “present”.
“””””I vote to eject Hawaii, Fine with 49.””””””””
Um, if Hawaii left we would be down to 56.
The other Democratic candidates are kooks who have no chance of beating Trump. Gabbard is positioning herself to either be a dark horse Democratic candidate or a third party candidate.
As a third party candidate, she would just be a spoiler, enabling Trump to more easily win. As the dark horse nominee coming out of the Democratic convention, she would be an effective candidate running against Trump. She is a lefty kook like the others, but she is taking “principled” positions to seem moderate. Time will tell whether she is able to pull the Obama trick of getting elected based on a phony moderate position. As Obama said of himself, “I just let people see themselves in me, like looking in a mirror.”
True. Gabbard is the only Dem candidate who would actually be competitive again Pres. Trump in the election. But, the Dem party has drifted so far to the left they've abandoned their traditional labor / working base and now instead embrace the fringe of the fringe Left. In a party that lost, Gabbard doesn't stand a prayer of getting the nomination.
