Former second lady Dr. Jill Biden, whose husband former VP Joe Biden is running for the 2020 Democrat nomination, handed out tamales and Christmas gifts to migrants in Mexico as part of a visit with local leaders on Sunday -- and many Americans were not pleased with her choice of venue.
Biden toured a migrant camp across the border from Brownsville, Texas, home to over 2000 asylum-seekers. Many of the migrants, often referred to as MPPs, have remained in Mexico as part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Migrant Protection Protocols program as they await hearings before U.S. immigration officials.
“It’s heartbreaking. It’s really heartbreaking,” Biden said of the camp, according to Border Report. “Across the river is the flag of the United States. The flag of the United States offers people hope. They’re bringing their families and their loved ones here for hope of a better future and a better life for themselves.”

Out of idle curiosity, did NOBODY tell Ms. Biden that MEXICANS usually only eat tamales at CHILDREN’s BIRTHDAY PARTIES??
(Surely, there must be at least one DIMocRAT on “Biden’s team” that know at least a little about the culture of Mexico??)
There are likely several times more tamales eaten in TEXAS alone than in ALL of Mexico each year.

Chop up iceburg lettuce and cut up green onions and mix with the lettuce...
Then pour hot bacon grease over the whole thing...
The lettuce is “killed” (wilted) and it tastes fantastic...

Exactly. As a kid, my favorite was for breakfast with lotsa butter and grape jelly. As I grew older, my tastes shifted to the latter. :-)
AGREED 100% though I’m astounded that the Biden campaign did NOT know that Mexican do NOT eat tamales, except at kid’s birthday parties. = IGNORANCE is BLISS.
Fwiw, my adult/adopted daughter had NEVER eaten a tamale until she came to us & (8 years later) became a naturalized US citizen & proud “TEX-ANNE”, by adoption. = Noemi was born & lived her first 13 years in central Mexico.
