House Democrats do not seem very confident in the evidence they have gathered for an impeachment trial in the Senate, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Monday.
Gingrich was referring to current Speaker Nancy Pelosi's decision to sit on the articles of impeachment passed last week accusing President Trump of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress for his dealings with Ukraine. Pelosi said she stopped the clock in order to pressure the Senate into agreeing to certain terms for a trial. In an unusual press conference last Thursday, Pelosi, D-Calif., defended her decision to hold off, calling McConnell a "rogue leader.
Theyre just buying time to see if they can create more evidence, Gingrich told Fox & Friends.
But the whole thing is pretty stupid. First of all, theyre admitting that the case they have is so weak, they dont want to send it over to the Senate. The more they behave politically, the more they devalue the entire impeachment process."

create more evidence = SOLICIT MORE LIES!
There is more evidence of Congress obstructing Congress than anything else.

The NY Times and WaPo are working 24-hour shifts trying to meet this objective.
“theyre admitting that the case they have is so weak, they dont want to send it over to the Senate.”
Gingrich hits the iron hot and scolding dead on.
It’s not going to work for the Pelosi coven.
The Democrats should be even more concerned that 3 Senate committees are investigating the Bidens and their involvement in Ukrainian corruption, using information provided by the Ukraine government.
This reminds me of that time when the Republicans were in control and stupidly voted for ObamaCare, then just stuck it in the drawer and refused to forward it to the other house for ratification ‘cause we just really didnt like it.
Remember that??
This is going to backfire badly on the Democrats among their own Leftist base. They strung them along for months, promising that they had the goods on Trump, but they have failed to deliver. Miserably.

Eggszactly!!! Their case is laughable. I belive McConnell would be well within his rights, nay, his DUTY, to limit any Senate testimony to the Articles as passed by the House. No new evidence, no new allegations.
Everybody seems to think Pelosi has steeped on her dong on this one, but I wouldn’t agree. It’s a propaganda war. By voting asap on the flimsiest of grounds, she has set up the Republicans. Betting that the SCOTUS will find the the Executive must honor the subpoenas, she is in a position to club McConnell over the head with accusations that he is obstructing “justice” if he doesn’t allow new evidence/witnesses in the Senate trial. If he does allow them, he has caved, and is on the defensive. And no matter what the testimony and vote, the Dems claim that they took the high ground. And the testimony will undoubtedly be equivocal, leaving the door open to continued attacks.
These seem transparently obvious to me, so I would expect they have crossed McConnell’s mind. He’s pretty crafty, so I hope he has a crafty counter in mind. And I’m certainly open to correction by more astute minds here.
Agreed...This entire impeachment fiasco by Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler will backfire on the RATs and backfire hugely.
It’s Nancy’s world. We all live in day to day reaction to it.
"The President refused to hand over the assistance until the Ukrainian president told him how I got home from a party in the 1980s where I was sexually assaulted by Barron Trump," this anonymous witness said.
"And I'm running for President, so I can't be investigated," she added.
Gimme about a million breaks.
I wouldn’t put it past that witch to try it. :^)
Duh!
“create more evidence”?
They don’t have ANY evidence.
Or maybe they are going to do this after the holidays since they are going to try to convince everyone that the GOP is guilty of what the Democrats have actually done.
