AN updated Mexico Danger Map prompted US government officials to warn travelers about "widespread" crime, as murders, kidnappings, carjackings and robberies continue to rise.

The stark warning was issued this week by the US State Department who urged Americans to avoid traveling to certain Mexican states where violent crime is rife.

Thats easy. Haitians. They’ve been illegally crossing into the DR for years and and have destroyed many areas like feral animals, so says one of the most good and decent a Christian men I know from the island.

We just spend a week in Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco. It was lovely. I didn’t see a single piece of trash on the ground, a single homeless person, or anyone doing drugs. Can’t even say that about my upper-class area of Colorado.

We will definitely be going back to Mexico next year.

Their food is delicious.

So so on my cuisine scale - you can have my share. Besides that’s the Tex-Mex menu - go south and most foods are saltwater fish, chicken, and beef. More to my liking.

I wouldn’t call Costa Rica dangerous, but every home, except the very poorest, has walls, razor wire etc. around it. They build homes and buildings with the idea that someone is going to try and break in. Ticos tend to blame Nicaraguans for crime or homelessness.

When the mafia ran all the casinos, they were kept spotless and there was very little petty crime. Unlike the police, if you lifted the wallet of one of Fat Tony's customers, you would end up with a bullet in the head out in the desert or the meadows.

I would imagine that the cartels have some kind of money laundering op going on in PV and it would be bad business to scare the customers away.

I would have put Chiapas in the “reconsider” category.

My parents were a host family for a college student from Indonesia. When his parents visited, my parents showed them around the house. His dad kept saying, “But the walls are just wood...they’re just wood, not stone. How do you keep thieves from breaking through?”

They just couldn’t get over the fact that a nice house could be safe and secure when it wasn’t made of stone.

I’m so thankful for the USA.

We send troops thousands of miles around the world to fight cave dwellers when in reality, we should be sending troops down South of the border.

I'm for sending troops in to Messy-co to create a 15 mile buffer zone.

“ There was no Speaker Pelosi to whine and withhold funding.”

There were myriad Obama appointed judges who were standing by to restrain any move by Trump. The left was already screaming about putting troops on the border. Trump’s judicial appointments have been stacking up since then. The Democrat party had to be destroyed before much meaningful work could be done.

I should have asked him why he thought there was barbed wire in the first place.

Could be a way to encourage guests to spend their money in the hotel.

I was there back in 2008 as the guest of a cigar company. We traveled around quite a bit, visited several restaurants and other businesses. There were no guards at the villa where we stayed. Despite the obvious poverty, the place was clean and very peaceful. I attributed this to the religious nature of the people.

Agreed. But can one judge block a troop deployment? Maybe. But I think it would have been worth finding out. Move the troops, then let the objection slowly work its way up to the Supreme Court.

Invade to disable the cartels and to take control of the oil, in Mexico and Venezuela. Turn production over to American oilcos and divide the profits with the locals Both countries will return to or come to prosperity fairly quickly.

Preemption means that local municipalities cannot create laws, bylaws, ordinances, etc that are not in line with state law. Private companies are well within their rights to make their own rules, but it’s the citizen’s right not to abide. Doesn’t mean that private entity can’t sue, issue trespass, or otherwise ban that person from their business.

Disney’s reach is massive and their security is no joke.

Yes,many Mexican are quite religious and,as a result, are decent, respectable people....including the poor among them. But sadly, not all Mexicans are driven by a Higher Calling...and that goes triple for all too many males between the ages of 12 and 60.

as our military patrols Afghanistan and protects the Kurds in Syria

Our Military could give a rats ass about the Kurds, all that matters is the Opium Production and Distribution pipelines, they will do what is necessary and stay as long as necessary to insure the free flow of Opium to the World.

Yes,I can imagine that of the many places in the US that jihadis would consider "juicy",DisneyLand and DisneyWorld would be close to the top of their list. I read somewhere that DisneyWorld is the single most popular tourist site in the world.
