Trump could do a Wag The Dog war after the famous movie where a President facing impeachment wages a splendid little war on a country to move it off the front pages.

Everything Reuters prints is a lie.

Trump has alleged the Bidens were involved in corruption in Ukraine and should be investigated there, but has offered no evidence.

The evidence has only to meet the "low threshold" used to justify opening an investigation. Trump does not have to prove Biden was involved in corruption, he only has to justify having suspicion that Bidens were involved in corruption.

And there is plenty of evidence to justify having suspicion.

Reuters conveniently changes the bar, frames the issue so that there is no way Trump can meet the strawman standard. Just another day of fakenews.

I think “Reuters” is true. But the rest, yeah.

Agreed. Checking the box for Republicans.

If true, then apparently the Democrats are arguing the point that a sexual harassment isn't as serious as they originally claimed. That the whole Clarence Thomas thing was a joke (which it was, BTW).

Remember that Clinton was accused of sexual harassment and lied under oath during examination.

Democrats to the #metoo movement — we pretend to care but we really don't care.

Like the headline: “Trump On Track...” like he’s the instigator. Bias.

350 electoral votes coming for you Democrats.

Trump should go “scorched earth” in the Senate. I’d support it 100%.

It’s not that they’re throwing themselves on the grenade, they’re patiently (not so much) waiting to the old guard is gone.

Like Stalin said, it isn’t who votes, it’s who counts the votes that matters.

Democrats count the votes.

And the first one having NO reasonable suspicion or probable cause, thus, the first impeachment to violate the 4th and 5th Amendments.

“Trump has alleged the Bidens were involved in corruption in Ukraine and should be investigated there, but has offered no evidence.”

This claim of no evidence is apparently de rigueur, and is an infuriating lie.

* Hunter Biden was collected $600k per year for almost 5 years to sit on the board of directors of a Ukrainian Oil & Natural Gas corporation. That is a fact.

* Hunter Biden had no prio experience in the Oil & Natural Gas industry and no prior experience with Ukraine. He was utterly unqualified for the position. That is a fact.

* Hunter Biden’s father was Vice President of the US at the time and was designated as the Obama administration’s point person on Ukraine. That is a fact.

* There is no evidence that Hunter Biden did any legitimate work for his 600K salary. That’s a fact.

* Joe Biden has openly bragged in public speaches about being personally responsible for the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Hunter Biden’s company. That’s a fact.

The publicly available facts would be enough to support a charge of bribery against the Biden’s.

Trump on track to become third U.S. president to be cleared by the Senate.

OTOH, Trump will be the first U.S. president to be impeached by an entirely partisan majority in the House, who first decided to impeach and then struggled to come up with any grounds to do so.

Right now the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee should be on the phone to vulnerable Democrat congressmen to let them know that if they vote for impeachment, they had better raise ten times the cash they need for reelection, because their Republican challenger is going to be fully funded.

This fraudulent “impeachment” may be the best possible way to ensure President Trump’s reelection. I’m a fan.

The transcript can indeed be interpreted to show Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate a political rival. Read it. The president asked the Ukrainian president to do us a favor. Said Biden bragged about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired (true) and asked the Ukrainian president to look into it.

The fact is Ukraine wants military aid from us, so when the US president asks for a favor there is indeed some pressure to meet the president’s request. It’s also true that Biden is a political opponent.

All this said, the president is obligated to enforce the law. It’s the president’s job, and the DOJ and FBI work for the president. He’s their boss! Secondly, being a political rival doesn’t put someone above the law. Finally, Trump did NOT ask the Ukrainian president to “dig up dirt” on Biden as some contend. Trump called for an investigation...an investigation! That doesn’t assume guilt or innocence of the parties involved, and assuming Biden is totally innocent—as he claims—why fear an investigation?

Keep in mind the Democrats were all for investigating Trump/Russia collusion on the barest sliver of probable cause. So why the outrage over President Trump’s request for Ukraine to look into Biden? Isn’t there the slightest concern over how the VP’s son got a sweetheart deal on Burisma while his dad fired the prosecutor (and bragged about it)?
