Republicans should be as bipartisan as the Democrats were.

The House is above the Senate, above the ELECTED PRESIDENT
and above SCOTUS.

Time to take the House DOWN.

Here is a proposal for you Chucky boy, go eff yourself.

Out of one side of your mouth say that Page needs an apology for what the government put him through and out of the other side of your pie hole you still want to impeach the greatest president ever.

This Chucky boy is a piece of work.

It looks like Schumer wants to force the Senate to go along with the fiction/farce that the House has been crafting all of this time.

Schumer can go pound sand.

The American people and the President should not be put through this charade.

No, I cannot stomach reading the entire thing. The few sentences that I saw in a quick skim were enough.

Mistake, that was Dubin that said Page needed an apology.

Hell, I cannot tell these two a$$holes apart when they have their rose colored glasses slid down to the tip of their nose.

McConnell’s response to this should be simple: “The House Democrats who foist this idiocy on the Senate will not call any witness who has not already provided sworn testimony to any of the House committees involved in this farce. Furthermore, the House managers prosecuting this impeachment will turn over full, unredacted transcripts of any testimony given to these committees behind closed doors. If the House fails to meet this last condition then NO witnesses may be called by the House managers — and any opening statements they make will also be deemed to be their ‘closing arguments’ in this trial.”

The Senate tries the case based on the articles of impeachment approved by vote of the House of Representatives and on evidence assembled assembled and submitted by the House Judiciary Committee to support the articles when they were voted upon by the full House. Reopening the investigation by one side or the other in the Senate calling new witnesses makes the requesting party a part of the prosecution or defense and disqualifies them from functioning as a juror in the impeachment trial.

Request denied.

If McConnell is smart, (I think that PDJT’s team will force it), he will allow PDJT to subpoena his witnesses but will tell the House managers that they had their chance to subpoena Bolton et. al. in the House during their hearings, (and fight it out in the courts), but did not take the opportunity so they will have to present the case they came to the Senate with.

The “Grand Jury” phase is over and it is now time to present your case to the jury. No untested testimony at the last minute will be allowed. If the case is weak, (as it is), then you lose. Tough luck.

If Trump couldn’t call witnesses, then neither can they. Turnabout is fair play.
