On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” former FBI Director James Comey said that the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the launch of the FBI’s Russia probe’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was unacceptable.
Comey said, “He’s right. I was wrong. I was overconfident as director in our procedures of the FBI and Justice have built over 20 years years. I thought they were robust enough. It’s incredibly hard to get a FISA. I was overconfident in those because he’s right, there was real sloppiness — 17 things that should have been in the application or at least discussed and characterized differently. It was not acceptable, so he’s right. I was wrong.”
He added, “Sure, I’m responsible, I was overconfident as director in our procedures, and it’s important that a leader be accountable and transparent. If I were so director, I’d be saying exactly the same thing that Chris Wray is saying, that we are going to get to the bottom of this because the most important question is, is it systemic? Are the problems in other cases?”

You are wrong again Comey. Apparently getting a FISA is as easy as a lie and the consequences of lying to the FISA court are easy on the liars.
This is funny coming from the man who signed three of those warrants.

Comey signed the original FISA and 2 or the renewals for the FBI.
McCabe signed the fourth renewal for the FBI.
Both of these men signed that they attested the information was true. The information was not true.
If you sign a fraudulent tax return, even if you did not create the tax return, you are responsible for the fraud.
Comey and McCabe are responsible for the fraud.

When/If these guys (Comey, Brennan, Clapper, etc) get squeezed by Durham, they will start realizing the real culprit is escaping unscathed in a $12 million oceanfront mansion and will then point the finger where it ultimately belongs.

Ditto that. He even tried to play down the altered email by Clinesmith. Evidently, he didn't read the report like he claims. Starting on page 247 the report goes into detail about the altered email in renewal application 3. It wasn't a sloppy mistake..

I see little wrong with President Trump continuing to defend himself in the public arena. BTW, some reporters and editors in the media need to be held accountable.
There is a huge clean up coming in the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, the military and the IRS.
