On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” former FBI Director James Comey said that the Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the launch of the FBI’s Russia probe’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was unacceptable.
Comey said, “He’s right. I was wrong. I was overconfident as director in our procedures of the FBI and Justice have built over 20 years years. I thought they were robust enough. It’s incredibly hard to get a FISA. I was overconfident in those because he’s right, there was real sloppiness — 17 things that should have been in the application or at least discussed and characterized differently. It was not acceptable, so he’s right. I was wrong.”
He added, “Sure, I’m responsible, I was overconfident as director in our procedures, and it’s important that a leader be accountable and transparent. If I were so director, I’d be saying exactly the same thing that Chris Wray is saying, that we are going to get to the bottom of this because the most important question is, is it systemic? Are the problems in other cases?”

Not only was Comey WRONG, he led the effort.
This fact is confirmed by Comey’s refusal to properly brief Candidate/President Trump on Operation Cross-eyed Fire Slurricane.
Brennan and Clapper also wear it. So do Halper, Mccabe, Strok, Page, The Ohrs, Steele, Ciarmella and others And it was a conspiracy which still continues with the current false impeachment effort by Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler to usurp the electoral will of the People. Espionage and Sedition. Pure and simple.
All need to be measured for orange onesie jumpsuits.

....meaning.... I trusted others, they let me down, not my fault.....
It is impossible for that many FBI agents to cheat, as they did, knowing that at least a few of them would have refused, without direct orders from Comey.
Impossible......
Wray knows what happened, agents working under Comey worked for Director Wray.
Wray personally saw or directed or encouraged those agents involved to leave the Agency, to make them less available for investigation.
Did he repent of starting a three year smear job and witch hunt against Trump?
I won’t hold my breath.
Comey was DIRECTOR of the FBI and he is himself responsible for all that goes on within the agency while he holds that position so blaming someone else is pure bullsh*t!
Admission not acceptable. Try, convict and punish is the only acceptable course of action.
This crap of doing things that cause irreparable harm and then expecting to get off with an apology? Not acceptable.
Comey and all the rest of his cabal need to rot in some damp dark cell somewhere outside the US in exile or just give them a pill and let them do one right thing with their miserable lives.
Mistakes were made.
The BS pours out of him like a mighty stream. There were not 17 sloppy mistakes. There were 17, so far, documented acts of deliberate sabotage against a sitting president, punishable by firing squad.
He still denies the FBI engaged in misconduct targeting Carter Page.
The man must be clairvoyant.
Sees illegality in Trump where there was none. Sees no illegality in Clinton when there was overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Now he sees exoneration in the IG report, when the IG states the opposite.
I’m thinking there might be something to idea that he is more of a sociopathic liar than a Boy Scout.
As Greg Gutfeld said last night, why do these “mistakes” ALWAYS go in one direction?

of course it’s easy to be “wrong” because he’s admitting something that didn’t happen. He’s admitting that he should have been a little more tighter in making sure errors and such didn’t happen. He’s NOT admitting that they actually spied on a Presidential candidate and THAT’S why the FISA system was gamed.
