During an appearance Saturday before dairy producers in west central Minnesota, Rep. Collin Peterson said unless he hears something to change his mind, he will not vote to impeach President Trump on Wednesday. Peterson also said he's optimistic about the dairy industry but not about the rest of the ag economy.

Second Democrat to vote no.
I doubt that very few of either party are going to vote on principles, not theirs (they have few) or the Constitution’s.
Expediency.
Theyre gonna vote the way their constituents leans. Safe Blue districts will vote yes. Safe Red districts will vote no.
Swing districts could go either way.
Pelosi knows how many votes she needs, permission will be given to a certain number of dems in moderate districts to vote against.
Article sucks as it doesn’t clearly state party until second paragraph. Reporter or OP could have put a (D) after his name in the headline.
I see changes to next Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s House schedule.
Pelosi needs a minimum of 216. She can afford to lose no more than 14 votes and have it still pass.
Trump won Peterson’s district by an astonishing margin of more than 30 points in 2016. This was Trump’s largest margin of victory over Clinton in a House district with a Democratic representative.
Peterson isnt going to vote against his constituents. It would be political suicide.
So his vote against impeachment was expected.
She’s losing votes almost by the week now. The seats previously held by Elijah Cummings and Katie Hill are vacant. Ted Lieu has just had heart surgery, Tulsi Gabbard missed all the House votes last week, and I believe Jose Serrano hasn’t been around to vote after he announced that he’s retiring due to Parkinson’s Disease.
House is going to pass it anyway, so it really doesn’t matter if a few dems defect. I’d almost rather have them vote with their party, easier to get them out and give the house back to the pubs.
The dems on the house are dead in the water anyway, if 16 switched parties, at least they’d have some power. But most dems are true beleivers, and wouldn’t switch to the party they hate with a vengeance.
It’s local news. Everyone that lives there knows who he is.
I would concur if it was national media as they tend to pull that trick. Same as “teens” vs “white teens”. The msm starts with “Republican so and so” but buries or doesn’t even mention (D) if they’re forced to run bad news on one. All their news on repubs is bad news.
Dems will pass impeachment with 220+ votes/
The goal is to get to the Senate trial - so that this generates more headlines.
I fully expect a last minute surprise (like the supreme court justice hearings). I expect that the more CIA or State Dept partisans to pop up.
Don’t for one minute believe these evil crooked DemoKKKrats...don’t fall for it!! Nancy botoxic will see to it they follow the rat line! VOTE THEM OUT! WHY? Because if we don’t they’ll continue the impeachment hoax till klngdom come!!
216 it shall be.
Unless Pelosi cares what SCOTUS has recently decided to do.
I expect that it will pass, but Pelosi knows it will look really bad for the dems if it passes with just the bare minimum. It already looks bad that they are not expected to get even a single republican vote to give them a fig leaf of bipartisanship.
. ...yes, I had to look it up on Wiki.
PotUS, and his legacy, will wear impeachment by these fools like a SuperBowl ring.
