CNN always seems shocked when they learn that their ratings are tanking. They can't possibly understand why no one would want to tune into the continual Trump-bashing fest and their rah-rah fest for Democrats. Their idea of "news coverage" is to continually provide commentary and "fact checks" on anything and everything Republicans say. They take cold hard facts and debate them, as if facts suddenly care about your political affiliation.
On Friday, a panel on the lefty news network discussed the Democrats' sham impeachment process. At that time, Jeffrey Toobin, a former federal prosector and CNN legal analyst, argued the media has an obligation to "police" Republicans' take on situations, like what occurred during President Donald Trump's call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"There are not two versions of the facts. There are only facts and the overwhelming majority of the case, of the time yesterday, you had Democrats talking about the actual facts of this investigation and you had Republicans essentially making things up. We have sorta two-sideism and I fall victim to it. But the fact is, the fact is the Republicans were making up facts about when the Ukrainians knew the aid was cut off," Toobin said. "And, to the extent we can, I think we should try to police that, you know, in our journalistic function."
The media has a job to act as a watch dog over government officials and to help provide readers and audience members with clarification and additional context that they may or may not be privy to. So-called "news organizations" like CNN, however, continually run with Democratic talking points. They've become an extension of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and will do anything in their power to make Republicans look terrible. We've seen it time and time again.
Trump has a booming economy. Will they give credit to him for that? Nope. They say it's a result of President Barack Obama. Unemployment is at a record low, especially for African Americans and Hispanics. Will they applaud Trump? Yeah, right. Instead they turn a blind eye.
Their disdain for this president runs so deep that they would rather see Americans suffer than to prosper under Trump.
We have the transcript of the call between Trump and Zelensky. It showed no quid pro quo took place. There was no bribery. There were no threats. It was two men having a candid conversation and part of that candidness was Trump asking Zelensky to look into corruption taking place in his country. That's a fact that's written in black and white and yet CNN argues Republicans are "making up facts" about what took place.
More like to frame Republicans like a dirty cop would do.
Since when is a news outlet responsible for policing anything?
The fake legacy news media is the propaganda arm of the democrat party.
That is all you really need to know.
CNN, first police thyself.
Bump!
Oh that's abundantly clear! It's surprising that they admit it. In fact, their "journalistic function" is to serve the POLICE STATE.
Apparently it is the "new normal" to not only admit it but to force anyone with a different opinion to submit to their fascist regimen.
They will crash hard and burn hot. .
“...you had Democrats talking about the actual facts of this investigation and you had Republicans essentially making things up.”
Talk about projection, absolutely the polar opposite of the truth.

The watch dogs became Democrat lap dogs.
As a business, CNN has the right to conduct it any way they see fit. The fact that they are pushing pro-DEM/anti-GOP narratives 365/24/7 with what is effectively DEM donor money should be illegal.
When ex CIA goons and their toadies are lurking every corridor at CNN as management , one might understand a projected bias? Your life, your family, your liberty, and that of your pets her may well hang in that balance.
Thanks for posting SkyDancer.
Now that you mention it, news outlets need to start policing Congress, as the Founding States had intended, to make sure that all bills that Congress makes are fully compliant with Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphasis added]." Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe (See middle of third column.)
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
Remember in November!
MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)
"The Holy Grail of organized crime is to control government power to tax." me
"The power to tax involves the power to destroy," Chief Justice John Marshall, McCulloch v. Maryland, 1819.
"The 16th Amendment effectively repealed the involuntary servitude aspect of the 13th Amendment imo, evidenced by unconstitutional federal taxes." me
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"13th Amendment, Section 1:
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude [emphasis added], except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
"16th Amendment:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
"The constitutionally undefined political parties are basically rival, corrupt voter unions, union dues paid by means of unconstitutional federal taxes. Belonging to a political party means that you are a subject, not a member. me
"Patriots need to support PDJT in demanding that Congress moves "April 15" tax day to the day before election day." me
"The smart crooks long ago figured out that getting themselves elected to federal office to make unconstitutional tax laws to fill their pockets is a much easier way to make a living than robbing banks." me
"Federal career lawmakers probably laugh all the way to the bank to deposit bribes for putting loopholes for the rich and corporations in tax appropriations laws, Congress actually not having the express constitutional authority to make most appropriations laws where domestic policy is concerned. Such laws are based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated stolen state revenues." me
Is Jeffy Toobin even listening to Adam Schiff? Obviously Pelosi did instead of reading the transcript, else she wouldn’t be willingly led to impeachment by Herr Schift (read Goebels).
Much of the media, particularly the editors, have forgotten that they are a for-profit business.
They like to pat themselves on the back as crusading journalists.... “just the facts ma’am”.
Absolutely wrong, their job is to inform and analyze.....the news.......the current news.
It ain’t news if it ain’t new.
It won’t be a business for long if it continues to commit the most unpardonable sin........being boring.
It’s not propaganda if you employ “counterintelligence professionals to write your segments. Easier and cheaper too. Why send journalists to far off places when we have highly placed and taxpayer funded state department officials at every embassy around the globe?
Airports are the landfills for CNN garbage.
Policing is one thing - to accurately report findings is another. The media has lost its confidence with the American public for their false and more often fake news. I wouldn’t believe them if all they printed was the tide tables or sunrise/sunset times.
