On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) stated that he thinks up to ten Senate Republicans will vote to convict President Trump, but that there could be “unpredicted evidence” and the number of GOP defections could increase.
Blumenthal said, “I would give the high end probably five to ten. I think that’s a realistic number. But, and I want to emphasize the but, we need to keep in mind what’s unpredictable here. Remember the Watergate case, where the Nixon tapes emerged, seemingly by chance…and that was the end of his presidency. So, never underestimate the possibility of unpredicted evidence. And so, I think that one to ten number may increase as we see more of the evidence. It is a very, very fluid situation.”
The key is the polls. If they think they will have lynch mob out for their heads.. they would not dare backstab Trump.. so if they do do a trial and Trump brings up Witness after witness revealing the deep state ticking the public off more and more...the wouldn’t dare

What a load of crap. They have no trap. The proof is in e conviction. They had to deny him council and republican witnesses and then had to lie about the evidence to get a charge of impeachment. The Republicans are very scared of the negative media, but they live in terror of us. If they thought they were harassed in restaurants by left wing nut bags, play against the voters who sent Trump there and these cowards as well. Romney and his family would disappear in 24 hours. Wood chipper rentals would go up 150%. If they don’t do a trial and exonerate him completely, this crap will never end. Go for the trial and start convicting the left by exposing them.
When we take back the house, they can investigate the corrupt practices of Adam Schiff head in the next Congress.
If the Clinton and 0Bummer administration scandal, that continues to plague this country in the form of an impeachment of a duly elected President of the United States, has yet to face the blind lady of justice, then Schiff and his ilk will not face any punishment in the House. The Repubes will claim they just want to move on as they have always done. The IG report and the next one to come, slated for a Summer debut, have come too late into Trump’s presidency. I admire people who say Trump will win the next election, we need to go through the Senate trial first and if he survives that, an election. Nothing is guaranteed and the “deep state” is made up of both repubes and demonrats. Maybe just enough to remove Trump and prevent him from taking office in the future. While the probability is high he will survive the trial, there is still a probability he won’t. Nothing is 100% certain until the gavel drops in the Senate and the ballots have been cast and counted. For now, take the victories where and when they come. GEt through the Senate trial unscathed then we can take on the Presidential election. However, we can still target local election for House members once they have voted.

My sincere apologies for the jump to conclusions as you are very much spot on this with that understanding.
