The Words we use form what we say. A “trial” is a word that says you are guilty and we are finding out what you did.
Why not skip the trial after the Senate drops it and says it’s dead.. and then serve them to show up to testify.. surely they can find a reason to get those who did the impeachment, to have to come and testify on what they did and why. bring charges against schiff, nadler and anyone else that did this. it’s not legal and again, I ask what would the dems do if the GOP did impeach obama.
ya know what they’d do... whatever it took to get him off before they could damage him.. and I do mean anything.
so don’t use the word trial. drop it... and get the criminals in for testimony.. on camera.. they can’t answer or talk except to answer.. and have witnesses that testify against them.
I don’t know much about courts and trials. don’t want to know... but the dems step out of law and into rebellion constantly and get by with it.. because they just do it.. and don’t care. It’s time for the republicans who have shown they can act. to get on it to erase this impeachment charge... it’s bogus and an insult to our Preident and to this land of the free.. keep it that way.
It’s a big risk for many Dims and GOPers to have a senate trial. I’m almost thinking they may come up one or two votes short of passing the articles to the senate just to cover everyone’s ass. They’ve made their point and I don’t know if they want to take the risk of going forward.
Reading through these responses it appears the lunatics and conspiracy freaks are multiplying at a rapid rate.

Whatever corrupt arrangement he made to adopt them would be exposed. He would be obliged to resign.
No doubt the kids will suffer some downstream loss - of a portion of their shares of Roberts assets, loss of his influence on their behalf, etc.
Anyone who has the ability to comprehend the written word can see that the story on the hill site is nothing more then panic that the Democrats have the most to lose in a senate trial and therefore want no part of it.
The Hills job is to attempt to scare the administration into not having a trial.

Why take a chance in a long drawn out Circus Impeachment hearing and allow the deep state to manufacture another coup with secret whistle-blowers and God know what else.....

The GOP is raking in donations like never before. They never had this much party unity in decades. It would be suicidal for the Senate to buck this so close to the election.
If they really wanted to oust President Trump, they would have stopped the House Republicans on the committees from mounting such a strong defense in the first place.
