Cruz in response to Lindsey Graham who has been quiet on his no witnesses stance lately. Lindsey must have been told to stand down.

And after all these years, it is time for the defense to cross-examine the fake witnesses.

Cruz is right. Why do you think Deep State Republicans like Linda want to just dismiss it?

The Senate should dismiss this crap and acquit Trump without holding any hearings. There is nothing to be gained by calling witnesses. They will just attack Trump.

If Trump wants vindication he can appoint a special counsel to investigate corruption in the Ukraine.

The Democrats can use the house to investigate Trump, but Trump can't use the presidency to investigate them back? I don't get it. Time to go on the offensive.

Civil and criminal trials in the U.S. attempt to adhere to a formalism that ensures the rights of the accused. The House has pissed on all that. The Senate can now continue the clown-car, or put a stop to it.

The Democrats are bullies and the only way to stop from being bullied is to punch the bully in the face...hard.

Keeping the pressure on.

Going to trial in the Senate and blowing open the entire Ukraine favorbribe system is Plan B.

Threatening to go to trial in the Senate and blowing open the entire Ukraine favorbribe system in order to get the Rats to abandon impeachment is Plan A.

IT’S A TRAP!

Call the whistle blower, sure.
Confront the accusers, absolutely.
Present/Discover the counter evidence to any evidence
presented, most assuredly!

Calling Hunter Biden, or other hostile witnesses,
NOT part of the Frivolous Impeachment attempt is a TRAP.
A FRIVOLOUS impeachment vote is a SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY.
Prove the Seditious Conspiracy.

This is NOT the Right Trial for Hunter Biden.
He’ll get his turn(s), another time.

(I have some suspicion that Cruz knows this.)

Freaking SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY members out with a few
Presidential “Trumping Tweets” is fair game though, I think.

Enjoy the show!

Whatever the path to immediately destroy this threat is preferred. I don’t trust leaving this to the den of thieves in Congress.we all know most are owned pets of our enemies.

Outright dismissal of the threat is foolish.

Any tool that can be used to absolutely crush and humiliate the left and end this should be used, so long as it does prolong the exposure of the President actually being impeached.

I agree completely with my Senator from Texas.

This crap that Gramnesty wants to pull is only to cover the dead McCain's and his ass.

No, get to the person that issued the orders. As high up the food chain as we can get and put this shit to bed

Love to see a Senate trial with everyone involved with Schitt’s and NoNad’s committees including any and all related folk down to their personal groomers brought before the Senate. As each is being sworn in remind them that any, and I mean any deviation from the truth will result in an extended visit to jail. There the wardrobe (orange jumpsuits) will be small but your cellmate will be a very large sex fiend doing life for murder. Then prepare perjury traps and other legal machinations that guarantee jail time. Some will get thru, many will not.

The down side to this action is that the media will go full-throated howling about political revenge just slightly less brutal than a bannana republic purge.

Graham is in a Senate race and is scared Schiffless that voters will find out he is a Never Trumper-in-hiding. SC is about to have a big surprise.

The Senate could just subpeona witnesses themselves. Here's a partial list:

Eric Ciaramella

Jeffrey Epstein's pilot (who would have seen who got on the Lolita Express)

Adam Schiff

Gerrold Nadler

Peter Strok

Lisa Page

Jeff Sessions

Put every one of them under oath. And wear a hazmat suit because the garbage would most likely spew in all directions.

OK, here’s my 2 cents probably worth less than that).
In an impeachment trial in the Senate the chief justice of the supreme court presides. I a “normal” trial there is a judge, lawyers for each side and the jury. The lawyers are some of the senators the jury is the reat of the senators. Now, in a “normal” trial the charges are brought, the defense objects and the judge decides if there is enough evidence to proceed. If there is not, he dismisses the suit. With prejudice if he doesn’t want to hear about it again.
Could, Mr when is a fee a tax Roberts just throw the whole thing out? And wouldn’t that be sweet?
I can dream can’t I?
