As long as voters find this corruption acceptable and keep voting for these pigs our system will only get worse. More and more I see people running for Congress that only want to feather their own nest - that Amash guy, Marco Rubio... more and more. My own Rep - Val Demings - is in for a pound and I doubt we shall get rid of her. Last election she ran unopposed {thanks, Repubs} and there was not even a write-in line on the ballot. DIVINE FIAT: Val Demings is your representative! Now shut up and go away!

In 2000 the DOW was 11,722.
Today the DOW is 28,135.38.
So a simple index fund would have beat that.
