Meet CJ, hes a two year old with a new lease on life, thats because on Thursday he was adopted.
He was born two months early and was found in a house all alone. He was rushed to a hospital where he recovered and thats when Michelle Lavett took him in.
He was addicted to drugs when he was born. He had a really, really rough beginning, but hes come such a long way, said Lavett.
Michelle and her husband adopted CJs three older siblings. And, the timing of CJs adoption is bittersweet for the family.
Its very symbolic, because my childrens dad passed away Christmas 2017. So, by adopting CJ now, it is bringing some light and happiness to our family, she said. We love all the kids and CJ is the last of the sibling group of four that Ive adopted.
Including CJ and his three siblings, Lavett has one other adoptive child and three biological children for a total of eight.
Tonawanda. Isn't that a mythical comic book country in Africa?
Actually, back in the day, North Tonawanda was an industrial hub known for its industrial hub...well...aromas.
There’s an old joke: A not-so-bright guy was making out with his girlfriend on a lonely country road. His girlfriend became intensely aroused, and shouted, “Oh BABY! Kiss me where it smells”!
So he drove her to North Tonawanda!
My post pulled in...three...two...one...
Some people are great at multi-tasking and still keeping their kindness intact. They don’t get flustered ,impatient or over controlling the way average people (like me) tend to do.
Thank God for such people.
Sometimes, it does work with a crowd that large.
I wish the family peace and joy.
NIAGARA FALLS!....Slowly I turned......
NIAGARA FALLS!!!! Slowly I turned....step.....by....step....inch.....by.....inch....
Wow. A beautiful story really turned into a cluster.
No, he drove her to Lackawanna.
She is parenting by participation and teamwork. A much better method than treating children as royalty with an entitlement mentality and the parent is the servant.
I’m glad she did adopt, but sad that her husband passed. Prayers to her.
Beautiful soul .
God Bless Them. I hope one day to be able to at least foster a child.
I played a gig in North Tonawanda, "Weekends on Websters" or something like that. It was crazy! LOL
LOL!
That’s cool. I was speaking today with an old friend. They have ten of their own, five adopted and are working on five more.
