So much for Molon Labe. They just did
I hope this man has the strength support and character to appeal this to its limits.
Our constitutional rights are not waiveable because some tom dick or harry alleges something.
cwii clock ticks closer.
and who made the determination the guy wasn’t fit to own a firearm?? and using what rational??
Quite Orwellian.
I read this last weekend. This guy is a definite candidate and was justly separated from his guns. What I’d like to know is why he wasn’t in jail to begin with after spraying his friend and car with gun fire.
‘zactly.
Take it to the Supremes. I’ll contribute.
No what he needs is lawyers, and conservative support.
Conservative support is an oxymoran.
Conservatives always let other conservatives twist in the wind.
I was curious what triggered this all, from the link:
- Smith was arrested in 2018, accused of shooting at a car driven by a friend with whom he was having an argument over a borrowed cellphone, the outlet reports, noting that the victim was unhurt. -
From the article: "Smith was arrested in 2018, accused of shooting at a car driven by a friend with whom he was having an argument over a borrowed cellphone, the outlet reports, noting that the victim was unhurt. In response, law enforcement officers issued a risk protection order requiring Smith to give up his weapons."
the New Hampshire official state motto is still
“Live Free or Die”
Well, Obama said he likes to take the guns early, due process later.
Went to link and the meat of what happened when the LEO approached him to take his firearms is missing.
Florida commienazis can GTH!
and if they want a quick ticket to get there fast,
let them try stealing our property, especially our firearms
The guy is an idiot and should be in jail.
Shooting up a friend’s car is not the act of a model citizen.
However the idiots we have in our legislatures always do something to make matters worse.
The guy should be jailed for shooting up the car, and it should be a multi year stay in prison. Passing a law with vague or fuzzy limitations only serves to make it possible to be used on innocent victims.
In other words, the cops already had a law on the books that would punish the guy and evidence (damage to the vehicle) to make a solid court case.
The law is open ended. The state can take anyone’s guns. The state can have officers whose job is just to say that they think this citizen or that one might commit a crime or kill himself.
Not defending this law in the least, but this dude kinda helped make his own problems by having a shootout with a friend over a cell phone
No one was hurt when he was shooting at that moving car we the news media does not tell us what kind of cell phone he was shooting over.
