One thing you could do is refuse to work. Then you dont owe the taxes but youre still poor. Or have your wife stay at home, as wives used to. Cook home meals instead of eating out so often. Raise kids yourself instead of paying daycare to do it.
Really, if you add up all the expenses associated with having a working wife, it is likely equal to her net pay.
The government LOVES having middle-class wives work. In doing so, they get taxes from her work, plus collect sales tax and income tax from all the people she has to employ.

Well, there’s work and there’s work.
We do have a thriving black market economy, aka the “gig” economy, aka “cash under the table.”
Of course, this strategy tends to come back & bite one in the arse when it’s time to collect social security.

Good point. I did that.
Also boycott the news media. Ive done that too.

And it is illegal. But I suspect there are a lot of people who do it.

I like my idea of identifying counties that can roll back unconstitutional laws.....and enforce them by a sheriff and a militia by statute.
Mike Vanderboegh-style, and watch everyone lose their shiite.

So he took his idea from a general model of self-defense legal services. Interesting. But he seemed to be a little too much in favor of contemporary multiculturalism with huge inflows of countercultures, which has been a balkanizing, troublemaking influence in recent years.

I’m also against some of the less reasonable regulations, by the way. But was the outrageous, Obama Administration era sweetheart deal on wood stoves between manufacturers and the EPA reversed, for example? Probably not. Money, money.
And no, I’m not in favor of stopping federal work against the influx of harmful drugs, either (as mentioned by the speaker in regards to states’ rights). That’s a national defense problem and needs to be solved. Besides, many are pretty steamed about it.
