A Virginia Democratic congresswoman who was a reluctant supporter of the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump found herself in the middle of a tense town hall on Sunday when she explained her position on the matter.
Constituents in Rep. Abigail Spanberger's moderate district -- she unseated Republican Rep. Dave Brat last year -- who both supported and opposed the impeachment effort shouted at times during the event in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was discussing her record and instances when she voted against House Democratic leadership when a few audience members interrupted and told her to move on to impeachment. "My opinion of our inquiry is mine and mine alone. No one has pressured me to vote in any particular way from within the party. And I will not be pressured to vote in any particular way," she said. "The allegations against the President are incredibly, incredibly serious."
"They're bulls***," one attendee said as another shouted that "it's crap."
"It's a lie, it's all a lie," an attendee said, a remark Spanberger responded to by highlighting the various House hearings held as part of the inquiry. "Those witnesses have all affirmed and all agreed on what happened," she said. "That the President sought to use military assistance ... as leverage to get a foreign government to do what he wanted."
"It's all lies, it's all lies," an attendee yelled, cutting off the congresswoman, who is visibly frustrated with the crosstalk.
As House Democrats push ahead with their case against Trump, moderate Democrats in swing districts such as Spanberger will be especially vulnerable in next year's election.

Not one witness had any firsthand knowledge of anything, they gave their opinions, presumptions or ‘feelings’...wish someone had yelled that at her.

Nope, they didn’t in the afternoons, once reminded they were under oath and asked specifically ...
So, Obama denies military help to Ukraine for 8 yrs...thus we must impeach Trump.
Moreover, the only two people who actually “know” (Trump and Zelensky) both agree that there was no quid pro quo implied.

If yes, nothing else matters. Tell her to vote with her party so the President has a chance to get the evidence out to the public. Otherwise it’ll all be buried as soon as the next crisis pops up. I’m thinking that’ll be in about a month or two.
Actually, not a single witness said they heard Trump make those requests. They all admitted it was hearsay, gossip, presumptions, or personal impressions.
So why did members in this swing district vote in a Demon in the first place? 8>)
Yes, she will. There’s a lucrative post election lobbying job waiting for her.
It’ll disappear in 2022 when VA Democrats gerrymander to create safe seats for Democrats.
VA House delegation will flip D with the new seats in Democrat NOVA. Count on it.

HE SHOULD GET HIS OLD SEAT BACK for the voters of that district!!!
They should break away, from Northern Va, just as West Virginia did during the Civil War. 8>)
It will be gerrymandered out of existence. Right after the 2020 census.
I know residents of that district who were there. They are incensed that she has not done a damn thing for her constituents.
Most if not ALL of the Trump district Dems were on borrowed time... Trump being on the ballot this time meant most would likely lose regardless of this #seinfeldimpeachment nonsense....
However with it... definitely no chance most will survive...
ANd it won’t matter if Nancy doles out some nay votes to some of them to try to save them... they lost their seats on the vote they made to let this crap go forward....
