Republicans regained control of the chamber they had lost in the 2006 midterm elections, picking up a net total of 63 seats and erasing the gains Democrats made in 2006 and 2008.
The dems did gain it back in 2018, but that was really due to the GOPe and their {democrat-lite} Speaker Paual Ryano.

1) they passed what they wanted
2) lost
3) only to regain again in the not so far future
Whereas the (R)N(C)\GOP(e)
1) *SAY* XYZ
2) never get close to passing the same
3) attempt to pass\re-work their own (D)-lite version
4) remain content in the MINORITY ‘cuz they NEVER follow through (let alone adhere/enforce their own platform [small govt], let alone the Constitution)

From 30,000 feet up, the question should be: why would Pelosi play Russian roulette with five rounds in a six round barrel when the odds means losing the house? This begs the question: what is of more value to her ilk? I keep hearing it is hate that drives them. That’s engendered by then for their minions. The fetid crust at the top is motivated by desperation. These are criminals on the run. It is not hate at their level. It is the fear of losing life, liberty, and pursuit of power.
Imagine a 2016-18 House/115th Congress that actually SUPPORTED Donald Trump instead of stabbing him in the back:
We would have got:
—Tax Cut (The ONE thing we* did get)
—Border Wall
—Real END of Obamacare
—Actual immigration reform with tighter borders, no amnesty and illegals sent back
—End the stupid Mueller/Russia investigation
My point was Pelosi’s arrogance in 2010 via Obamacare led to democrat defeat and her losing the Speakership.
She got it BACK because the Republicans went back to their old GOPe RINO ways, especially after Ryano took over from Boehner.
Had the House Republicans fully supported President Trump I do believe we would have easily kept the House in 2018 and there would be no impeachment.
Dems weren’t likely holding the house either way after 2020.... but after this #seinfeldimpeachment nonsense they surely won’t be...
