Democrats are apparently going to drop accusations of “bribery” and “obstruction of justice” from their articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, which are expected to be delivered on Tuesday, according to reports.
As Breitbart News’ Joshua Caplan noted Monday evening, the Washington Post broke the story that Democrats “will focus on abuse of power and obstructing Congress.” The House Judiciary Committee’s recent Democratic staff report on the legal and constitutional basis for impeachment, argued that “abuse of power” was impeachable, even for “legally permissible” actions, if the president also had “illegitimate motives.” The report cited the much-criticized impeachment of President Andrew Johnson in 1868 as a positive precedent in making its case.

Andrew Johnson is the only one coming out of this with a less tattered name.
Their “abuse of power” means a R President did, or talked about doing, something legal and Constitutional that the D’rats just didn’t like.
Obama, otoh, actually did unConstitutional acts that were indeed an abuse of power. Biden, too, it seems. And other leaders in the Obama D’rat sphere.

Yep, without the bribery then there was no abuse of power, without an egg there will be no chicken. The real abuse of power was Nadler allowing the NY lawyer who was a witness to sit on the committee and interrogate Castor. Castor should have just refused to recognize that individual’s authority to even be sitting up there and answered nothing because he lacked the authority to even be asking any questions from that seat.
The Republicans should Very Publicly Demanding Articles of Impeachment for Obama and Biden after this CONFESSION by the House Impeachment Lawyer.
What’s amazing is so called analysts like Rickie Klayman on CBS This morning cannot see this as a partisan circus. She must have gotten her law degree from the bottom of a cracker jack box.

This fits with my oft-stated premise, that a Democrat could kill and eat an infant on the Capital steps, and the press and Congress would applaud it and ask what barbeque sauce they were using, whereas if a Republican sat quietly in a church pew, the press Congress would impeach them for loitering.
I think they are counting on Lindsey Graham and McConnell to see that he is removed. I think the Friday jobs report may have actually made it more likely. These twisted creeps are at the point of desperation. The meme that if they don’t impeach him he will be re-elected has taken root now. They think that once it gets to the Senate anythng can happen. They are not wrong.
Best analysis on this thread. I hadn’t thought of this before. In all seriousness I for one cannot see this getting to the Senate where they risk so much more of their corruption exposed and dare I say face indictments.
My bet is on censor. And then all the way to Nov 2020, keep plugging away at the mud throwing in hopes something sticks. Secondly, it’s just a guess, but they need to find stronger candidate to go against Trump. Are they paving the road for Michelle Obama? But then what about Hillary? Will Michelle find out first hand all about Arkanside? Fun times.
They’ll replace those charges with the time he jaywalked back in 1974.
