FBI Director Christopher Wray said Monday that the bureau is implementing more than 40 "corrective steps" in response to a Department of Justice inspector general report on the investigation into the Trump campaign and 2016 election interference.
The report found the FBI's decision to launch and carry out the investigation targeting four Trump campaign officials was not affected by political bias, a conclusion Wray highlighted while also noting the bureau fully cooperated with the nearly two-year internal review by Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
The report was, however, critical of certain aspects of the FBIs handling of the investigation
"Accordingly, the FBI accepts the Report's findings and embraces the need for thoughtful, meaningful remedial action," Wray said in a response included in the nearly 500-page report.
"Because our credibility and brand are central to fulfilling our mission, we are also making improvements beyond those recommended by the OIG," Wray added.

The bureau is also making "significant changes" to its Confidential Human Source (CHS) Program to improve how it collects, documents and shares information about those sources.

The only correct step you need is a few people like Brennan, Comney etc being offered a final cigarette and a blind fold.
Is there still a hearing on December 11th?
#1: Hiring more transsexual agents.
#2: Increasing the bonuses paid for harassing Republicans.
#3: Eliminating penalties for leaking to leftist media outlets.
#4: Terminating all FBI employees who are not registered Democrats.
#5: Placing a photo of Hillary Clinton in all FBI offices, with the caption "The Real President."
#6: Placing a dartboard with Trump's face on it in all FBI offices.
#7: Award James Comey with the "Deplorable Voter Suppression" medal and the "Hillary Protector" award.
etc.
40 steps for the perps from the van past the press into the jail.
Wray is FOS. Useless as teats on a boar. One of POTUS worst personnel decisions.
FORTY corrective steps? That means there were 40 (forty, xxxx, 50 minus 10) faulty processes / procedures in place to allow this to happen. Shameful!!
Don’t forget to mention it was an error....that you got caught!
I paid off a govt employee, but little good it did me...
Wray has been _very_ busy, ya know—way too busy to worry about FBI employees and managers plotting against the President:
:-(
Exactly.
asked "can find no illegality or corruption in launching the spying?"
NO. There are clearly people that will go to jail over this. There is fraudulent statements and other things. They're covering up a lot.
fine by me...
The claim is that Wray signed off on a NSL, from the SDNY, for the phone meta data records and that Shiff got a copy.
Sounds like another abuse similar to the FISA request abuse.
The coup and the abuses continue to this day, buoyed by the fact that no IG report will stop it.
Must of been light in the envelope or really, really bad at driving. ;-)
If they are not 40 steps to the gallows then they are the wrong steps.
Step #2 is the exoneration of Michael Flynn
Indictment of Comey & McCabre would do more than all the “corrective” steps put together.
The thing is, Wray has already promised corrective actilns which he still has not implemented.
Keep in mind around the time the FIB was doing this the likes of Lindsay Graham were calling for Trump to be thrown out of the GOP. The FBI acted the way they did because they perceived they had bipartisan support to do it.
I only killed one person, ran one school bus off the road, made a blind lady leap for her life, killed two dogs, backed over a kid on a bicycle, and parallel parked on a fire hydrant...and while the firemen were nice, they suggested I walk home.
Some of the other details are too embarrassing to share. I can sympathize with the 40 errors of the FBI, one day...they’ll get it right...just like me...still trying to drive...
How I loath this wet noodle of a man. We will never trust the FBI as long as he is in charge.
