For two years, the president of the United States and his followers have loudly declared that the FBI acted unlawfully in conducting a counterintelligence investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential campaign. They repeatedly told the American people that the FBI had done all sorts of bad things, such as tapping Donald Trump’s wires during the campaign, opening an investigation without adequate cause, with the intent to damage Trump, and inserting secret informants into the Trump campaign. The president said the FBI’s actions were “treason.” The current attorney general even slimed his own organization by supporting Trump’s claims, asserting there had been “spying” on the campaign. Crimes had been committed, the Trump crowd said, and a whole bunch of former FBI leaders, including me, were likely going to jail. On Monday, we learned from a report by the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, that the allegation of a criminal conspiracy was nonsense. There was no illegal wiretapping, there were no informants inserted into the campaign, there was no “spying” on the Trump campaign. Although it took two years, the truth is finally out.

It was treason. If the FBI actually had been concerned about protecting the United States and our elections from Russian interference, they would have warned Candidate Trump about the specific risks from Russia. Instead, they worked hard to develope this fake narrative as a way to undermine President Trump if they were unable to swing the election to their chosen insider candidate. Comey, Brennan, and the rest of the traitors involved disgust me.
This guy used a fraudulent FISA warrant to spy on the entirety of the Trump campaign and Administration.
He’s not fooling anyone here.
The man would be best served by being quiet. Of course he is James Comey and.......
Horowitz had to know this was the result, and had no reputation to uphold; his handlers provided statements for our other domestic enemies to relaease ASAP afterwards.
Barr and Durham also had to know our domestic enemies would celebrate as well, but they DO have a reputation to maintain.
Will watch and see before throwing in the towel against America.

So you knew the spying on the Trump Campaign was based on a fraudulent Steele Dossier but you went forward with it anyway why?
You really want to claim that is not proof of political corruption in launching the investigation?
Comey is such an a*s. The only revenge we will enjoy is re-election of Trump and take back the house, that’s where all our efforts should be.
If the the FBI’s mission is to demonstrate in Capital letters and Broad Strokes, Brightly Colored their total and complete dishonesty and that they are a criminal enterprise then, YES, they have successfully communicated what absolute POS they are ....
We may not win the house but, we will retain the Senate and the White House and live within the successes that are possible there...
The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trump’s administration. In the rush to obtain and maintain FISA surveillance of Trump campaign associates, FBI officials misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source.
