I am not sure of the time of the release..it is 9 am now....there was some talk last night on twitter that there will be a short press conference in the morning but the report won't be made public until the afternoon....but take that info with a grain of salt
“As we describe in Chapter Four, Steele is a former intelligence officer [REDACTED]...”
Geez, everyone knows he was British MI6, it’s in literally every newspaper article that mentions him.
The FISA Judges, the FBI leadership and everyone along the line never questioned anything and just accepted what was fed to them.
The FISA judges should be impeached and have their law licenses revoked.
The FBI leadership needs to be terminated and have their pensions revoked, including prohibition of working for any federal gov’t agency.
I am still working one executive summary. They may not cart off current and past FBI employees in handcuffs, but the report fairly ugly so far in my opinion. My take is the IG is pushing major incompetence by FBI leadership..
In another section of the Free Republic Universe the Faithful gather and profess their creed:
Now the real progress begins, today marks a tipping point in the battle of opinions based on nothing. Horowitzs job was to gather facts and lay out the series of events, his boss AG Barr has the final word, and John Durham has only just begun. We knew this was a slipper slope because who wrote the rules and policies that the deepstate was supposed to follow? THE DEEPSTATE WROTE THEM! So of course there was lots of wiggle-room and of course they all were lawyers who knew exactly where lines where drawn and which side of them they had to stay.
Through all the fog of words, just remember: Today is not the end of anything.
“””””What is a Hannity?”””””
The scientific name is Hannitus Interruptus.
LoL!
Outta the park....
From page xiv:
“In our view, this was a failure of not only the
operational team, but also of the managers and
supervisors, including senior officials, in the chain of
command. For these reasons, we recommend that the
FBI review the performance of the employees who had
responsibility for the preparation, Woods review, or
approval of the FISA applications, as well as the
managers and supervisors in the chain of command of
the Carter Page investigation, including senior officials,
and take any action deemed appropriate. In addition,
given the extensive compliance failures we identified in
this review, we believe that additional OIG oversight
work is required to assess the FBI’s compliance with
Department and FBI FISA-related policies that seek to
protect the civil liberties of U.S. persons. “
So far we have direct confirmation of quite a bit of the “conspiracy theory”.
...Interspersed with terms that people don’t understand.
The one comment everyone is hanging on is a misunderstanding of what it means when they say “authorized purpose”. It means mostly that they cited a clause that is actually in the law that provides authority to conduct the wiretaps and that the correct people signed off on it. The phrase means nothing in regards to whether the application was justified.

Data Point #2
Page 144, Footnote 282
As noted previously, on or about October 17, 2016, McCord became the Acting AAG for NSD. She replaced AAG John Carlin who left the Department on October 14, 2016. Evans told us that Carlin had very limited involvement in the Carter Page FISA prior to his departure and did not review a draft of the application. We found no information suggesting otherwise and therefore did not seek to interview Carlin. END QUOTE
Coldeye comment: Are you F**KING Kidding me? You didn't want to interview the guy in charge? Your excuse is that he wasn't in charge at that narrow period of time when the FBI was lying to the FISA Court about one particular FISA target, Carter Page?
John Carlin quit mere hours after giving the FISA Court "an explanatory memorandum" attached to DOJ's Certification for "procedures" DOJ was using (or failing to use) in the FISA process (see top of page three of the FISA Courts April 26, 2017 release). Carlin got out of Dodge because the judge had caught DOJ in lies and he didn't want to remain a part of that.
When the IG fails to interview John Carlin, the IG is guilty of willful blindness.
Signed up to comment on this, but I guess I’m too new.
That is convenient.
:) A lot of knee jerk reactions out there.
Every FISA judge should be impeached and dis-barred for life.
Yep.
The whole point of FISA is that the normal rules of probable cause and evidence dont apply.
It’s sooo clear, and yet we have embarrassing rhetoric from the IG.
Someone said IG should be fired. I say GOOD,
ALONG WITH CHRIS WRAY, WHO I BELIEVE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHITEWASHING THIS RIDICULOUS REPORT.
