The House on Friday approved a resolution supporting a two-state solution to the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, recording opposition to any peace plan put forth by the Trump administration that doesn’t expressly call for an independent Palestinian state living side-by-side with a Jewish state of Israel.
Only 5 Republicans backed the measure in the 226-183 vote, though 11 GOP lawmakers had joined a bipartisan amendment reaffirming U.S. commitments to providing military aid to Israel that was added to the bill.

Four Democrats opposed the resolution: Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.).

FIVE RINO’s supported the dems Pro-Islamist resolution! With all that the dems have done to attack our president 24/7/365, and by virtue of that, US and our votes in 2016. Why do we have 5 republicans supporting the dems on anything? Unbelievable.

The Democrats were the four left-wing congresswomen dubbed "The Squad." They objected that the resolution's authors, in a bid to gain broad support, removed a call to end Israel's "occupation" of Palestinian land.
"This resolution not only endorses an unrealistic, unattainable solution -- one that Israel has made impossible -- but also one that legitimizes inequality, ethnic discrimination and inhumane conditions," said Representative Rashida Tlaib, a Squad member who is of Palestinian descent.
Ultimately it’s up to the Israelis.

I have liberal friends who tell me the Democrats have passed over 500 bills but the Senate has done nothing with them.

A resolution that serves just one purpose: for Nancy Pelosi to pretend she is 'just as powerful as the president.' While POTUS was with NATO, NP was at the climate doo-haa in Spain assuring them that the U.S. was still part of the Paris Accords. . . . Remember when that was treason?
The true irony is that The Palestinians have made it abundantly clear that they don't want a two state solution! Their founding charter calls for the complete elimination of the state of Israel... Yassir Arafat proved that with the Bill Clinton peace farce.

Democrats were and are livid that President Trump rightly and correctly recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved our embassy there.
By the way, we already have a two-state solution. It’s called Jordan.
I truly believe that the Democrats see Israel as the reason for all of the instability in the Middle East. I also believe that they think if there was no Israel there would be no problems in the Middle East. I believe that the Democrats, if they thought they could get away with it, would engineer the destruction of Israel.
Well, there's Egypt....but that's no good....they're Egyptians. But then there's Syria...they're "Palestinians" and also Jordan....they're "Palestinians" too.
So what the hell? There are actually two independent Palestinian states side-by-side with with Israel.
And there's yer damn "two state" solution.
