John Carlin is a very interesting character.
He was head of the National Security Division of the Dept. of Justice in 2016. The NSD Division at DOJ was created, for the most part, by the Patriot Act.
He would have had to review and sign the FISA Warrants that were part of “Crossfire Hurricane” and Brennan/Comey’s spying on Trump. Carlin resigned from the job just 2 weeks before the election of 2016.
He clearly must have been deeply involved. Yet Carlin’s name is hardly ever mentioned.

How the hell is Trump allowing his dept directors to not respond to requests for info? This should be standing order #1. We respond to all FOIA requests immediately and unless the secretary of the dept says it’s classified then you should defer on releasing it.
