Worse, I think something really evil is going on at the Vatican. By the way, I’ve been to the Vatican several times, took Mass with Saint JPII presiding in St Peter Square on a Wednesday appearance, even got to shake his hand as he went by in the Pope-mobile. We also did Christmas Midnight Mass under St JPII also (that was a act of endurance—11:00 PM until 4:30 AM).
Because I was stationed in Italy for 3 years, I spent enough time in Rome to visit and really study the Church, her history and all the sites.
I even climbed up to the cupola on St Peter’s!
I love the art, beauty and history.
But I think something very bad has been given the Keys.

I’m afraid it’s been going on behind the majesty of it all for a lot longer than we may ever know. The way Benedict was shunted aside for Francis to take his place was political intrigue of the highest order. I’ve had all the Theology and Philosophy classes which Jesuit universities always required, but I’ve also read the Bible on my own from Genesis to Revelations, although admittedly not the “approved” Latin Vulgate Edition. I’m a believer, but not a Catholic.
