Rep. Al Green (D-TX) said he hopes House Democrats will be able to impeach President Trump on a wide variety of issues because there is no limit to how many times they can impeach a president.
"My hope is that we will expand this and take up additional issues. But I would also say this for your viewers for education purposes, a president can be impeached more than once. So we can do this. We can move forward with what we have on the table currently. We can take this before the Senate and we can still investigate other issues and when the president has committed additional offenses, and my suspicion is that he will, we can take those before the Senate," Green told CSPAN on Thursday.
"There is no limit on the number on the times the Senate can vote to convict or not a president. No limit to the number of times a House can vote to impeach or not a president. So my belief is that the Speaker will probably say we are going to move forward with what we have now, but we are not going to end investigations and that there may be possible opportunities to do other things at a later time."
There has been a debate among House Democrats if they should include other items outside of Trump's phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in their articles for impeachment.
Green defended the time and political consumption of impeachment, saying the House of Representatives can pass other bills.
"Now the Senate is not engaged in the impeachment process currently but the Senate is blocking all of this legislation that we’ve sent," he said.

Green is just another embarrassment to Texas, and along with Shiela Jackson Lee, is a testiment to the ignorance of Black Houston voters. They got the right to vote, and this is what they have representing them in Congress. Shameful.

I agree and the sad thing is most don’t know what our Constitution says. The dumbing down of our education system not only affects the ability for these people to get jobs but it’s also a chance to vote in the Democrats who promise them unlimited benefits. I’m just steamed today. Can you tell?

We cannot live in one country with these people as our fellow countrymen. Simply not possible. They will only allow for totalitarian rule under them. At some point, this will not only dawn on everyone who is not them, but will also have to be settled by violence. Extreme violence. There are too many, and they are making their play now for total, unrestricted permanent power. There is only one way this ends: bloodshed.

In the theme of the OP and multiple impeachments (although I think ONE conviction and removal from office stops the process), Neal Katyal (prominent progressive lawyer) says that there is no "double jeopardy" in impeachment, so even the same charges can be tried over and over. IOW, there isn't a need for new articles, just keep trying against the old ones.
I figure the DEMs are in for a combination of both. Non-stop articles of impeachment (they'll get more efficient and proficient at this with repetition and practice), and non-stop impeachment trials in the Senate.

Impeachment is going to be the norm now. That’s how politically divided the country has become. No respect for laws anymore. No respect for elections or the constitution. The country is not going to make it out of 21st century.
