World leaders appear to mock Trump during tense NATO summit
CBS News ^ | 12/04/2019 | PAULA REID

As the impeachment inquiry heats up in Washington, with the House Judiciary Committee set to hold its first public hearing Wednesday, President Trump has found himself in tense moments with fellow world leaders at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in London.

The leaders, who are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the transatlantic alliance, are meeting Wednesday at a golf resort outside of London to discuss threats including terrorism, arms control and China.

But tension among the leaders of NATO member countries over the alliance's role also appears to pose a threat to the partnership.

Totally agree. NATO’s purpose no longer exists. We should bail. We taxpayers get nothing from NATO.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
NATO should have been dissolved when Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974.

I assume this is another piece about Trudeau complaining Trump was late because he talked to the press for 30 minutes. There's something ironic about the press reporting negatively on themselves having access to POTUS.

Trump's instincts are likely right, Justin is butt-hurt that he was called out by Trump in front of the press for missing the 2% required by the NATO treaty. They're just above 1% right now. Trump's not above public shaming his foreign peers for not living up to their obligations. He's sending a message and we hear it, it's part of why he was elected. Obama and Hillary would've mumbled platitudes and said nothing.

Mark up one more impeachment article.

The MSN/Dims will carefully scrutinize Trump’s behavior and declare whatever Trump does as dangerous and obviously due to his thin skinned out of control reaction to being laughed at.

I think they should be able to say what they want among themselves without fear of eaves dropping.
Heaven knows Trump likes his little grumblings and jokes at the expense of others.
Trump is chronically late for meetings with world leaders and they don’t like being kept waiting. Let them vent. No harm done.. except when a news outlet uses the audio to attack Trump.

“I’ve never known PDJT to start speaking at scheduled time”

Regarding his rallies I think there’s a delay from the time the audience is seated and the doors closed to when Trump comes out to give security people a chance to study the audience.

This is the actual purpose of the impeachment. Creating fodder for the media to use to incite mistrust and disrespect for Trump both foreign and domestic. And it’s all to get votes in 2020 by “splathering” it all over the media sources, truth or not, and creating an atmosphere of fear for the voters. These piece of trash liberals have done it to every conservative president and candidate since Eisenhower.

They don’t care about the country, they care about winning....at all costs. Getting control of the country is secondary. Destruction of their opponents is primary. So if they can’t have it, they will try to see the conservatives can’t help it or keep it. It’s not about progress, it’s about congress.

Laugh all you want, Europe. Sharia law is coming like a bullet train and you lack the will to stop it.

So Trudeau said “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top” and that’s it?

Why is this a scandal?

You do realize that the US is the only country to ever invoke Article 5 and accept military assistance from fellow NATO countries?

Yes.. and nearly 20 years later, how’s that working out for us today?

As for most allies, they don’t need more treaties to uphold or to sign.. we need less.

Where did 9/11 take us? Some say thru the portals of hell.

So much for the new world order.

I don’t like to see Trump making other leaders wait for him. But at least he’s not seen frantically running around trying to find the “in-crowd” meet-up like Obama used to do.
