Pennsylvania prosecutors investigating the hanging deaths of a 4-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother have charged their mother with murder in their deaths.
Police had reported the children of 36-year-old Lisa Snyder, Conner and Brinley, had been found hanged with a dog leash in the basement of their Albany Township home on Sept. 23. Snyder had suggested to a 911 dispatcher that Conner was suicidal because of bullying and took Brinley with him because he "didn't want to go alone."
Snyders arrest was announced Monday by Berks County prosecutors. She was arrested at her home.

An another thread, someone asked about the delay in charges.
Am guessing LEO didn’t think she was going anywhere, acted like they believed her story, and wanted to do proactive investigation into her mental state, etc.
Otherwise, Inspector Clouseau could have gotten this right away.
Article lists several points of evidence pointing to mom's guilt, including internet searches on hanging and buying the leach that morning.
Warning guilty picture at site.
This makes one wonder why we are against cruel and unusual punishment.
The only reasons to support cruel and unusual punishment would be if it served as a deterent to others or as a deterent to repeat behavior.
I thought when a judge or two offered chemical castration to rapists instead of prison, the option was certainly unusual, but it was an option, and it made some sense. I think it got overturned as cruel and unusual.
Any reason this woman should be permitted to live another day?
Burn the witch.
She is just evil.
Poor kids.
She was probably either angry at their dad or she has a man in her life that does not want kids.
That is usually the reason behind this kind of thing.
99.999999999% of parents would gladly and eagerly lay their lives down if it meant the survival of their children. Which makes these instances such horrific abominations. Try her, find her guilty and then quickly kill her. She has given up her rights to live amongst us.
Nope but too many people think because a murderer is a woman we must treat them better and special and care about the “why”.
I don’t take the vagina card as any form of excuse. Lots of men and women here do because of outdated and preferentially sexist notions that only benefit one of the sexes while being detrimental to the other.
acted like they believed her story...This was maybe 6 miles from my computer. Most of the people I know who knew her ‘Not that crazy bitch, again.”
Death penalty.
No life-in-prison on taxpayer’s dime.
Get this thing off the planet.
I have grand kids the age of these poor kids. This woman needs the death penalty after being put in the prison population. Pure evil.
Still, it says “cruel and unusual”, not “cruel or unusual”. Seems like we can be cruel as long as we’re not doing it in an unusual way.
It must be very hard to say, “I don’t want to be a mother any more. Please find a family to take care of my children.” Society would judge such a woman.
Wouldn’t it be infinitely harder to take your babies’ lives, to watch them in mortal agony and terror?
Unless you’re completely psychotic, or an amoral monster who somehow imagines that people will pity you as a bereft mother and never see through your schemes.
I think there are more amoral monsters out there than completely psychotic parents when it comes to child-murder.
I saw her picture, I believe she is the dog.
Interesting idea. Put the bitch in general population, and let her new "friends" know who she is and why she's in. I'm sure they'll take care of business and save the taxpayers time and money during the next prison guard "all hands" meeting.
I can’t discuss this with my wife as she just gets angry, but my prediction is she will get a slap on the wrist if guilty. For some reason men do 20 years for these crimes that women get 3 years for.
