A Utah substitute teacher was fired after she allegedly told a student who said he was thankful for his soon-to-be adoptive fathers it was "nothing to be thankful for" — and lectured the class about how homosexuality is sinful.
The unidentified teacher, who was working at Deerfield Elementary School in Cedar Hills in late November, asked a class of fifth-graders what they were thankful for this year ahead of Thanksgiving. One boy, an 11-year-old identified as "D.M.," said he was thankful he was "finally going to be adopted by my two dads."
"Why on earth would you be happy about that?" the teacher quipped, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. She then reportedly lectured the 30-student class for 10 minutes about how "homosexuality is wrong" and "two men living together is a sin."

Sad, but true.
Doesn’t she approve of a two parent home rearing a child?
Not sure how to judge this one. The sentiment is righteously correct, but not sure, given the age of the kid, if it was the right thing to tell the boy at the time.
Horrible that two perverts can adopt at all, much less a boy.

I was orphaned at the age of nine. Wound up a ward of the state.
While I absolutely believe that in an ideal world, every child should be raised by two parents, one male and one female, the fact is this ideal just does not exist for many kids.
Until it does - until and unless we can guarantee every child gets that ideal situation - I’ll settle for a lot of compromises that a lot better than nothing at all.
For a teacher to tell a child in need of a family that they should not be celebrating something like this - I really think that’s awful. The child has the right to be as happy as their circumstances allow, and not to have somebody else try to take that from them.
Your most noble Nullness, please define “two parent.” Remember, the void is deep.
She is right. But it was insensitive to tell the kid that, especially in front of his class.
Ever since the SC ruled in favor of the homos, this country has gone to the pit of insanity!! My grandson’s school better not even think about bringing a drag queen to story time!!! Cause I’ll be on their faces!!! STAND UP AMERICANS!!!
My 4 year old nephew told me yesterday that two boys can get married and I blurted out “WHO TOLD YOU THAT” and he said another little boy in his class(He goes to a very religious Jewish preschool) so I told him that they will never be married in the eyes of God..of course my nephew likes girls but this kid had to tell him that of all things

Can you believe how this incident was singled out and reported on in detail in the local paper when liberal indoctrination goes on as a matter of course multiple times per day in virtually every classroom in this country from September until June, and it’s never considered a problem?
God call homosexuality an abomination. Quite a powerful word. Do you know anyone who you would consider abominable? Do you know two of them? Would you want them together to a raise a child under any circumstances?
