Vick is scum.
More than that, Vick was spectacularly average in actually producing wins.
61-51-1 record. 2-4 in playoffs.
Long ago I got sick of ‘video game heroes’ and Vick was one of the first.

Is that the same guy that drowned dogs? If so, he’s human garbage.

The Pro Bowl is pure garbage and with the likes of Vick, all the more reason not to watch.

Haven’t watched any NFL since many of them revealed their hatred of our country, but I might sneak a peek this afternoon to see what the crowd (or absence of it) looks like at the Giant game. (Terrible weather, terrible team, and a bunch of America haters may render lots of expensive tickets virtually worthless.)

Little known background; Michael Vick was a last-minute replacement for Colin Kaepernick, who kept moving the location for the contract signing. Apparently a dog-killer was the logical replacement for The Ego.
Will Beyonce be headlining the halftime show for this spectacular? Or the Dixie Chicks?

Michael Vick:
"Bad Newz Kennels" The dogfighting activity was violent and bloody.
Dogs were methodically tested and poor performers executed.

Mike ‘dogman’ vick? How many buh-zillions is dogman raking in as a common tater on the NFL show?

I was debating one of our little Free Republic snowflakes who wants to bail China out of it’s developing famine, and was absolutely horrified when I insisted that ending the organ harvesting of prisoners, withdrawal from Japanese and Philippine islands, and ending religious persecution must be a prerequisite to get food from the United States.
He would probably want to punish Michael Vick for having been involved in dogfighting years ago.

If I were king, I would have Vick stripped naked, smeared head to toe with bacon grease, and thrown in a cage with a dozen hungry pit bulls.
The next day I would have his miserable remains hosed into the sewer.

All fair. But there is the Christian element of forgiveness. Not only did Vick do his time in jail, but by all accounts he is a changed man. He never hides from his past - often he brings it up, especially when it ties in to current NFL stories. He is by all accounts, a repentant soul.
Very rarely in society do we see people fall hard then recover, better than before and with contrition for their sins. I don't have to like what he did (I don't, and as an Eagles fan I was aghast when he was hired) but he's a high-profile turnaround story.
To keep Vick on ignore is akin to saying Jesus can forgive you but I can't. Thus I approach Vick as I hope God approaches me and my failings when I'm before Him.

Two people come to mind: David and Saul (Paul) - nuff said.
How can I ask for forgiveness if I can't forgive others?

More pandering to their target audience, just like all the TV ads.

Wow! Turned on the Giant game for a minute and the field was white and the stands were mostly full. Very surprised.

The Pro Bowl is a frigging exhibition game that nobody actually wants to play in. Who cares who the “Pro Bowl Hall of Famers” are?
