That would be because the Mexican government and the drug cartels are one-and-the-same.

They won't 'allow' it.
Ok.

Cool. We won't allow any commerce coming North. And we'll tell the Mexican people why they lost their jobs: because the Cartels own the Mexican government.
Checkmate.

What are they going to do fight the USA harder than the cartels? Not very smart.

I found Netflix's Narcos: Mexico series well worth the watch, and quite timely. The only drawback were the subtitles which flicked on and off too quickly for me.

They are harboring and protecting terrorist organizations? Guess what? Now WE don’t need no steekin’ badges.

Proof that Mexico IS a Narco-State, time to declare war on them and clean it up, we cannot afford to have this on our doorstep, and while we are at it we can bring home the troops we have scattered in every 3rd World Hell hole to help protect the homeland instead...

Fascinating response considering all the mayhem they’re already allowing within the borders of their failed narco-state

If the President Of Mexico isnt asking for help by now, then hes in with the cartels.
