MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 23-year-old Memphis man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for hitting an 11-year-old girl with his vehicle, then raping her. But the girl's family is not at all satisfied with the sentence.

That neighborhood is almost 3/4 black. I heard a brief interview with the mom. To my ears theres also a 75% chance the mother is black.

If it was like with my Jeremy, the Prep had his first parole hearing 10 months after being sentenced. 5 more because I’m a tenacious, vicious fighter and eked out 10.5 yrs Out of 20 yrs.
I don't believe what happened to Epstein can be described as prison justice. I doubt he was murdered by a fellow inmate angered over the crimes he committed.
Epstein was a targeted political hit. He was silenced.
I am in favor of the death penalty for any violent or stranger rape of a pre-pubescent child. Why should they have to grow up with the horror threat of their rapist going out on parole? Childhood rape maims a person’s soul.

I'd look at actual studies.
Child molestors (or "chomos" in prison slang) are at the bottom of the prisoner hierarchy, no doubt about that. And sex offenders are murdered in prison at twice the rate of other prisoners but still, the vast majority of them will survive their sentences and are eventually released.
Life for child molesters and rapists in prison is not a happy one but most of them will get through it.
And I have a hunch that it is for worse for white sex offenders than black ones.
I never doubted that. But when they get out, they will have a hard time dealing with endocrine issues, particularly late in life.
