I never even thought to go visit my family this year. They are all a bunch of hate filled leftists who ultimately want people like me controlled and if not that, then killed.

We’ve been circling the drain ever since older successful people bowed to the lazy, ignorant young people in the late 1960s.
I watched one of those Vietnam documentaries, and this veteran who later opposed the war described how people were celebrating the fall of Saigon; he described feeling that while he opposed the war (on how it was run), that certainly wasn’t a desirable outcome in any way. After the massacres perpetrated against South Vietnamese civilians during the Tet Offensive years earlier, he understood what a communist victory meant. He never doubted we were opposing evil, and couldn’t understand why any Westerner would be elated by the fall of the South Vietnamese.
